With Rajah Travel’s advocacy on stewardship and knowledge-sharing, the Tourism Knowledge Center (TKC) was established in 2018 with the vision to be a repository and topof-mind source of data information on Tourism and Hospitality, research, documentation, and insights among industry stakeholders for a better understanding of the dynamics and growth of the Travel, Tourism and, Hospitality industry.

THE TOURISM KNOWLEDGE CENTER WEBSITE Rajah Travel, is the only Philippine-based member of the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) and the Tourism Knowledge Center (TKC) has a Memorandum of Agreement to reshare WTTC’s articles, publications, and reports including the Tourism economic impact report, sustainability reports, etc.

TRAVEL ACADEMY With an aspiration to support educators and academe professionals in preparing the future leaders of the Travel, Tourism, and Hospitality industry in facing the demands of the industry, the Travel Academy aims to deliver capacity building training and programs for Tourism and Hospitality Management students, academic managers and industry stakeholders that will continue to provide applications of Tourism and Hospitality Management learnings in the various aspects of our tourism-related operations. These trainings are designed and guided by the ASEAN Common Competency Standards for Tourism Professionals (ACCSTP).
TRAVEL TALK EVENT SERIES Gathering industry stakeholders and leaders from the government, private sector, and the Academe, the Travel Talk series promotes awareness on national, regional, and tourism issues and trends. RESEARCH TRAINING SEMINAR With the vision of creating a deeper culture of research amongst the tourism industry stakeholders through capacity building, TKC with its Evaluation Committee and in collaboration with its Academe Partners, conduct the Research Training Seminar (RTS) to promote the potential collaboration of the academe with industry stakeholders in addressing current issues of the tourism industry through academic research. The RTS includes a 3-day workshop with the objective of sharing new techniques to faculty member-participants and platforms to present their paper with the goal of publication, at local and international research conferences.

Improve Marketing and Business Development To support the sustainable operations of tourism destinations, the Tourism Knowledge Center (TKC) introduced the Tourism Destination Microsite (TDM) initiative in 2019. This inititative helps promote and manage the sites where TKC successfully deployed the Visit Fort Santiago Microsite and have developed microsites for an LGU that will soon be launched, and an ongoing Private musuem site under production stage. Through the Microsite Project, a total of 180 artifacts in the Museo de Intramuros; 1,400 books and photos in the Intramuros Library and 306 assorted collection of maps, publications, research papers, and brochures were scanned. An on-going book digitization activity from one of the Chamber of Commerce organization is happening as well.

LOST PIECES OF HISTORY
Rajah Travel has been working as part of the Palawan Liberation Task Force (PLTF) since 2015 to highlight the historical value of the Palawan Province and the key role it played in World War II. The PLTF works with communities to uncover or rediscover lost pieces of history. We believe in the value of preserving our country’s culture and heritage and we aim to spread awareness to fellow Filipinos and foreign visitors. The Palawan Liberation Tourism Circuit was developed by the PLTF for inbound and domestic tours curated to highlight featured historical and cultural attractions which can be sold by any tour operator. Rajah Travel also creates themed itineraries to focus on persons of interests such as former presidents, national heroes, etc. 104 Awarded War Heroes

TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY CAREER FAIR Rajah Travel Corporation is an advent supporter of career placement in the country. With the challenge of helping fresh graduates and the unemployed find work in our ever growing industry, Rajah Travel in partnership with the Tourism Congress of the Philippines, organized the 3 legs of the first Tourism and Hospitality Career Fair (THCF) in 2016. The THCF Fair was successful to promote local employment and support the ever expanding tourism industry in the Philippines.
