Light Module ——LED Optical Engine


Optical Design The LED lenses for Arrlux products must go through abundant tests before they are put into production which can be used for professional lighting or special purpose lighting. Base on R&D and a deep understanding of market needs and LED lights application, Arrlux has developed 10 kinds of conventional lenses for customers to choose, of which the asymmetrical type include T1M T2M T3M T4S, and the symmetric type include T5L T5M T5S T5U T5V T5W.

Application Recommendations: T1M, T5S, T5M and T5L lenses are applicable for high/low bay lights, the applications of which are interior car parking lot, warehouse and workshop, etc. T2M, T3M, T4S (asymmetric light distribution lens), and T5S, T5M, T5L (symmetric light distribution lens) are all applicable for wall washing, billboard lights and wall mounted floodlights, etc. T5U, T5V and T5W are applicable for projection lights recommended to be used for faรงade between two windows, pillar or statue, or super bay lighting products (mounting height 12 meters or above).


Thermal Management According to Chimney Effect, the cool air around the bottom of the heat sink (close to light source) takes place of the rising hot air, by this passive cooling way, it forms a relatively high air velocity field in which the hot air convects with cool air so that it diffuses the hot air and keep fluency, therefore eliminate the Heat Island Effect from the bottom of heat sink. Make more rational use of Chimney Principle, it accelerates the air flow and eliminate the Heat Island Effect from the bottom of heat sink. Save material costs and reduce the weight of the fixture, also improve the thermal performance. The main cooling methods for LED lighting are heat conduction and heat convection. Arrlux is using aluminum heat sink modules which could solve the problems of low cooling efficiency and thermal conductivity which have a big effect on the lifetime of power and LEDs and other accessories.
