Part 1 (BA)Architecture
It is the way architecture affects the psyche that intrigues and fascinates me about design. I am an award winning creative graduate with a passion for modern art, design and construction. My mathematical and scientific background has provided me with a pragmatic set of skills and knowledge. I am able adapt to any working context and pride myself on my excellent communication skills. My ‘can do attitude’ enables me to utilise my skills to achieve the best possible outcome.

01 1 KINGS CROSS | THE PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE KINGS CROSS, LONDON, UK
CONCEPT “1 Kings Cross” is a mixed-use development inspired by the past present and future the location. The design is made up of a Hotel, Public Garden (consisting of a suspended market and Elevated track) a Learning Centre and rehousing the existing network rail signal box. The entire master plan anticipates the development of Kings Cross. As the demographic in the area continues to change, my design seeks to create a space where the existing deprived migrant community and new corporates can coexist. During a period of Brexit, the design facilitates the unity of two different demographics. The creative skills of the migrants are on display in the market at the “Gateway to London”. The idea is that people are drawn towards this extra-ordinary building when entering London to see that it is a true reflection of the nation’s multicultural nature. The idea of a “healthier London” is also integrated into the scheme with an elevated track to promote walking. The incorporation of a facade where algae grows from make the building an advert for tackling pollution.

Southwark Councils scheme to preserve the trees in the borough. The abundance of trees in the area influenced my design as I sought to create a design that related to the surrounding context. The intervention allowed for the children to still play beneath the structure whilst the parents watch from the balconies.
