Introduction
Goddag that means hello in Danish. Have you ever been to Denmark? Well in Denmark there are so many activities to do like playing tennis, watching TV and much more. We also have special food, festivals, learning and cold weather. Turn the page if you want to learn more about Denmark.
Changing Weather
In the winter the weather in Denmark is very cold. We often need to wear warm clothes. Like hats, gloves, jackets and long pants. In the winter night it could be 0 degrees. We have seasons too. If you come to Denmark let me warn you take an umbrella with you in the summer. Maybe it will just rain a teeny bit but there could be a blue sky and clouds.
Yummy Yum
When you see all the tasty food you’ll jump up and down. Soup, sandwiches, burger, fries, spaghetti. All those foods you’ll just want to come try. We eat rice cooked and put cinnamon on. That’s what we eat for Christmas. Juice, milk, water, soda is also what we drink. Dream cake is Denmark’s most delicious food. Dream cake is just name you don’t fall asleep when you eat it.
Learning Time
School time is fun. In kindergarten class we mostly play, write stories and sing songs. We play inside mostly because outside it rains or it is stormy. We play outside in the summer at school. Our teachers are very kind and helpful.
Celebrations
The traditions we celebrate are birthdays and Christmas. For birthdays we eat cake and give presents. We can celebrate almost anywhere we want. At home, in the park, in a club or at someone’s house. You can celebrate it in the evening in the middle of the day or in the morning. Christmas evening we eat ham or turkey or chicken. We dance around the Christmas tree and give presents to each other to make people happy.
Speaking Danish
Danish letters are the same as English. The letters kind of have the same sounds but the words are not called the same as in English.
