Why TMC

Cory Jaeger, Dedicated Fleet Manager

“Growing up in the transportation industry all of my life helped lead me to TMC. I have been in the transportation industry for 20+ years now, with 10 of those years being at TMC.

Working for the largest employee-owned flatbed trucking company in the country may seem like a lot, but when you come into the office and everyone knows your name it shows that we may be the largest, but we also have the mentality that we are not just a number like other companies. When people ask where I work at and I tell them TMC, they say, ‘Oh the ones with the shiny black trucks.’ We all take pride not only in our work, but also in the image of our company. I like how every day there are different challenges, so you are not doing the same thing every day. Even after a hard day, coming back in the next day is easy to do as the people you work with make your job easier.”

Jennah Macallister, Logistics Sales Representative

“I started at TMC last September and I honestly had no idea what to expect. Today, I can tell you that my move to TMC was the best decision I could have ever made for myself. Not only does my current role as an Logistics Sales Representative keep me ignited, but the culture we base our success off of is more than incredible to walk into every day. The drive, motivation, positivity, and empowerment of individuals I have had the honor to come across in the company is not something you find everywhere. I truly believe this stems directly from great leadership and the strong morals TMC instills into its people. One team, one family!”

Brennan Rosell, Carrier Sales Specialist

“I started with TMC as an intern while going into my senior year of college at Iowa State University. I was majoring in Supply Chain Management and the wonderful world of Logistics seemed like a great place to start a career. I had a great internship experience while at the Ames, IA office. My time in Ames encouraged me to make the move on up to Madision, WI where TMC was opening a new branch. I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the TMC team. Every day the Logistics world brings new challenges and that’s an easpect that makes the job so fun. You are consistently being brought new material to your desk, day-in and day-out. TMC being an employee-owned company makes for a great culture around the office. We all share a common goal which is to grow as a company!”

Beau Armstrong, Team Leader Logistics

“Building a successful career in sales is all about earning an opportunity to prove yourself and then providing consistent first-class service. Back in 2018 when I joined TMC and still today, I could see no better company to team up with for the long haul and to provide excellent service for my customers. Having worked for a major transportation company in the past and having ran my own business, I had high expectations when looking at coming to TMC. Upon spending a week at the corporate offices in Des Moines, I could not have been more delighted. The practical, hard-working, buttoned down culture here is very representative of what built America and I am very proud to be a part of it.” Jeff Geist, Training Coordinator Manager

“I chose to come to TMC 25 years ago. When I was in driving school, I would see TMC trucks roll by on I-95. I must say, it was the combination of the trucks and the reputation of the company. Everything I heard about TMC convinced me this was the place to be.”

Melissa Comeaux, Carrier Sales Specialist

“I have always said you should learn something new every day. If you stop learning, you stop living, and in Logistics it is ever changing! Starting here in December of 2019 and having almost 20 years of transportation experience, I am so glad I made the leap to TMC!

I am excited to come to work every day and be a part of all that Logistics brings! I am learning something new every day in LTL, sharing that knowledge, working with both FTL and LTL, expanding my transportation knowledge as a Carrier Sales Specialist and looking forward to a great future here.

People talk about teamwork and feeling like a family at different companies, and TMC really exemplifies these things! My coworkers and managers make coming to work enjoyable and encourage growth, which makes for great leadership qualities. As our team grows with hard work and dedication, we grow as a family! Thanks for welcoming me and letting us see our potential!”

Ashley Stelzel, Logistics Sales Team Lead

“I chose to come to TMC because they uphold one of the most important values in my life...integrity. TMC motivates me and taps into an internal drive for success. After two years here, I am proud to say I am the Brownsburg Carrier Sales Specialist Team Lead and hope to continue to learn and grow here for many

Cassidy Bennett, Marketing Coordinator

“I began my career with TMC in 2018 as a Marketing Coordinator. I wear many hats in this role - from creating content for CDL schools, interacting with potential and active drivers on social media, collaborating with the Recruiting Department to genereate leads... the list continues.

Graduating college, I knew I wanted a career that involved assisting and helping others. Communications is a very broad degree, so I narrowed my search down to a field I was immersed in growing up - Trucking. My dad (Stuart Bennett) has driven truck my entire life. With my dad as an example, I have witnessed and experienced first-hand how diligent, hard-working, and selfless our nation’s truck drivers are. If there was an opportunity where I could give back at least a fraction of what our drivers do for us, I want to seize it. This was a huge reason I chose TMC - TMC prides themselves on being the best, and our nation’s truck drivers deserve nothing but the best. This company has an unyielding dedication and commitment to our nation’s drivers. All of our departments make sure that each driver, from new to tenured, is set up for success. I love being part of a team that incorporates these values into every aspect of the driver experience. I can’t wait to see what opportunities lie ahead.”
