KATHY DUNN COOKEVILLE BROKER ELECTED 2016 TAR DIVISION 2 VICE PRESIDENT September 17, 2015 — Kathy Dunn, Broker, CRS, GRI, PMN, ePro, BPOR, of First Realty Co. in Cookeville, today was elected 2016 Division 2 Vice President for the Tennessee Association of REALTORS® (TAR) at the statewide association’s annual fall convention in Memphis. A 20-year Realtor®, Dunn has held numerous leadership positions in the industry, including President of the Upper Cumberland Association of REALTORS® (UCAR) in 2001 and a member of multiple committees (MLS, Nominating, Awards, Education, Finance, Grievance, Bylaws, Technology). She currently serves as 2015 Chair of UCAR’s RPAC/Governmental Affairs committee and is a member of its Technology and Professional Standards committees. She has taught TAR Forms and Contract Writing for UCAR since 2008, and in 2015 she began teaching New Member Orientation. She serves as 2015 State Governor for the Women’s Council of REALTORS®. On the state level, Dunn has served as a TAR Director (1998-2011), Assistant Sergeant at Arms (2014) and Sergeant at Arms (2015), along with committee positions on TAR Forms, Convention and Governmental Affairs. The many distinctions she has received include the Horizon Award (1998) and REALTOR® of the Year (1999, 2000). She has been a recipient of the Award of Excellence each year since 1996. A native of Cookeville, Dunn is deeply involved in her community, having served as a member of the Cookeville Area-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce and the Tennessee Tech Parents Association. She and her husband, Tim, are the parents of two sons, Tyler and Tanner, and daughter-in-law Anna. “Now that I only have one son left in college and my other son was married last year, I have more time to give and serve our membership, and I am excited to serve in a different capacity to help move our association forward,” Dunn said.
