How to set up an account in Blogger Type in the web address: http://blogger.com

Create a new user account: •If you already have a Google account, (Gmail, Google Groups, etc.) you can sign in and skip this step. •Type in your e-mail address-if you forget your password they will send it to this address. •Create password-what you will use to sign into Blogger. •Create a Display name – this is the name that will show on your blog. •Enter the word verification or captcha. •Check I accept Terms of Service. •Click Continue

Name your blog:  Type in blog title.  Type in blog address. Create a unique personalized name for your blog in the URL box. This will be the web address for your blog, so it might be helpful to record this information.  Check availability. It may take several tries to find a name that is available.  Type in the word verification.  Click Continue.

Choose a template:  Choose from many templates for your blog layout.  Click Continue.

 After your blog has been created, click Start Posting.

Creating a post:  Creating a post is easy, click on Create new post button.

Adding Hyperlinks      

Find the web site address you want to link to. In your post, type a title for the hyperlink. Highlight the text you want to hyperlink. On the formatting toolbar, click the hyperlink icon. Type websiteʼs address (URL) in the box after the http://. Click OK.

Adding Pictures  Make sure you have the picture resized and saved on your C: or h: drive.  Click on the Add image button on the tool bar.

View Blogs •After publishing a post, click the tab View Blog. Depending on the size of the blog it may take several minutes for a published blog to appear. It will appear in its own window.

Posting Comments When reading posts from other members, you can add your comments. •At the end of the post, Select # Comments.

Comments  Type your comments in the text box.  If you are logged into Blogger, your name will automatically be selected. If you are not logged in, then you can select Anonymous.  Select Publish Your Comment. It may take a few minutes for your comments to appear. If comments are moderated, they will not appear until they are approved.

Title and Description of your Blog     

Select the Settings tab. Select the Basic tab. Type in a title or change the title in the Title box. In the Description box, type a description of your blog to appear on your blog. Select Save Settings.

Changing Template    

Select Layout Pick New Template Tab Select Pick New. Select the new template by ticking the appropriate radio button. Save Template. .

Group Blogs        

Once a blog is created, you can add team members to create a group blog. Select the Settings tab. Select Permissions. Under Blog authors, click the add authors button. Type in the e-mail addresses of the people you would like invite to post to your blog. Click on the invite button. Select Save Settings. The designated person(s) will receive an email invitation to join your blog. To join, they will need a Google account. In the email they will click on the provided hyperlink.  You can grant administrative privileges or just posting privileges to invited guests. Posting privileges will only allow members to make changes to their own posts. Administrative privileges will allow them to change anything on the blog.
