Adler’s
Nothing beats an old-fashioned, all-American burger. At Adler's, you can always order the classic with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, and condiments. Or if you want something with a little more "bite" to your bite, try the Bad Hombre with whiskey onions and jalapeños. Or the Twitty with caramelized pineapple and bacon.
Or have their famous Burbon BBQ Burger with jalapeños, bacon, onions, and pepper jack—a burger so popular they dare not take it off the menu. "If I were to take it off the menu, I feel like a riot [would happen]," said owner Jacki Walston.
From wings and hand-cut fries, to fried mac and cheese or jalapeño pepper firecrackers, Adler's has a little bit of something for anyone craving all-American fast food. They're always experimenting to make a better burger topped with anything and everything from kimchi to baba ghanoush. "The burger is the little black dress of the food world," said Walston. "You can dress her up and dress her down...[Otherwise], we keep it simple and we can keep the quality of the food up."
Walston started Adler's with her husband and business partner with their food truck five years ago in Davenport. Six months into their new business, they became popular enough to open up their own permanent eatery. Since then, they've become even more popular when opening up a second location in Winter Haven behind Jensen's Bar sharing an outdoor patio seating area.
So great was their reception that they needed more room to cater to their customers. With assistance from the SixTen Corporation and construction provided by Whitehead Construction, they created a larger eatery. "We needed more space, able to get us that with our new cur-
EXPECT MORE... GET MORE... WE DELIVER! rent location, and we had noth-
ing but love and support from the community," Walston said. "We are grateful and thankful for that."
Both consistency with a good menu item and support through service with a smile has been the key to their success these past five years. And it is exactly those two things that they expect to keep them going in both Davenport and their new Winter Haven eatery. "We never anticipated the love and support we have gotten from Polk County over the past five years," Walston said. "If we can stay at the rate we are going, it will be pretty awesome...We have been welcomed with open arms from Winter Haven and as long as they continue to support us, we will stay forever and a day."
