It has been 10 years of Today’s Boomer Magazine! Since our launch in February of 2012, a decade ago, we never thought we would come this far, experience so much, and frankly, last this long. As an idea turned into a reality to provide resources for America’s baby boomer population, we were a bit ahead of our time and interest. The vision to provide resources and help boomers to cope with life shifts, twists, and turns all while having fun and keeping a positive outlook had always been challenged. Some by skeptical baby boomers who did not care, some by boomers doubting what would be next to come, and at other times, by other generations who have blamed baby boomers for what the world has come to financially, economically, and even politically. When this magazine first launched until now, we have remained steadfast and committed to this effort of reflecting and echoing what boomers need to know and how to thrive as they age. The curation of articles and information is consciously picked each issue to draw interest but also with the mindset of “oh, this is something that others should know”, and continue to do so without bias, spin, or any agenda all while remaining a free publication to remain an accessible advocate and a voice for the wide array of individuals that complete the baby boomer generation. p. 4 The passion for helping others has continued to motivate the production of this magazine and is a proud legacy of the father-daughter inter-generational (boomer-millennial) co-founders to simply bring family discussions and concerns to the foreground of what other families may be thinking or experiencing. We continue to warmly thank our readers and supporters who have been with us all these years, as we look to continue this journey forward to working towards another, in our minds, perfect 10!
