RECEPTION & NURSERY PLACES 2022

Little Conkers is the Early Years provision in St John's Priory School in the heart of Banbury Town. At Little Conkers we aim to give our younger children an excellent start to their education and learning adventures, through a strong sense of community which fosters a warm, family atmosphere, where everyone feels valued.

Get the best start at Little Conkers

In Nursery and Reception, our Little Conkers children continue to follow the national Early Years curriculum, with the addition of weekly French, Spanish, Music, Dance and Drama lessons; all taught by specialist teachers, developing creativity and confidence in our youngest children from the very beginning.

The next best place to Home

At Little Conkers, our ‘Family First’ approach ensures not only that your child feels secure and happy within a holistic environment but also that our families are supported and guided in a generous and sensitive manner. Our flexible wrap around care at the start and the end of the school day offer great value, in an warm and safe environment that our children refer to as 'The next best place to Home.'

Nursery Funded places

All children are entitled to receive 15 hours per week, funded by the Government, the term following their 3rd birthday. At Little Conkers we accept the Early Education Funding (EEF) for 15 hours and 30 hours per week until the end of the school term in which a child is due to join the Reception class.

Reception Places

Offering monthly payment options and potential fee discounts, our school is more affordable that you might think.

Our Reception children follow a bespoke programme of learning designed to enhance their current knowledge whilst building firm foundations within Literacy and Maths. Small classes and interactive teaching approaches ignite our children's interest through practical challenges and engender an adventurous approach to learning. Curiosity is key to knowledge, which is why our Reception class receive a wide range of activities during their weekly outdoor learning sessions. These take place off-site in a variety of locations. We believe there is no such thing as bad weather but rather appropriate clothing!

Settling in Sessions available

We offer ‘settling in sessions’ and are flexible enough to meet the needs of each child as they join our Little Conkers Early Years family. Every step of the way, from admission to senior school transition, we are on hand to support and to care about each of our children and their families.
