Performing with a band! Mix high quality tones into just the combination you've been looking for. Versatile performance functions provide a high level of support for live performances.

Multiple Digital Effects Essential for versatile sound creation. Built-in effects include reverb (10 types), chorus (five types), and DSP (100 types using 46 effect types including delay, phaser, flanger, wow, rotary, and more). By adjusting the parameters of the DSP effect types, you can create original effects and store up to 100 original types in onboard memory for later recall.

The attack time*, release time*, cutoff *, vibrato*, reverb/chorus*, DSP * and other parameters of a built-in tone can be adjusted and edited. You can save the result as your own unique "user tone" that will be available for instant recall whenever you need it during live performances. In the tone area, select a musical instrument type you want to edit and then press the Tone Editor button.

Volume Specifies overall tone volume. Touch Sense Level setting that changes the volume level in accordance with keyboard pressure. Reverb Send Specifies how reverb is applied. Chorus Send Specifies how chorus is applied. DSP Line Turns DSP on or off. DSP Type Specifies the type of DSP applied to tones. DSP Parameters Selects up to eight DSP parameters.

The keyboard comes with 50 specially selected built-in drawbar organ tones. Nine sliders can be used to change harmonic overtone level settings and add percussion and click sounds for real-time sound creation as you play. A rotary speaker simulated using a built-in DSP provides the distinctive acoustic effect of drawbar organ speakers. Parameters can be edited to create original "user drawbar organ tones," 50 of which can be stored in keyboard memory for later recall. *Availability : WK-7500, CTK-7000

A pitch bend wheel makes it easy to add realistic sounding guitar choking, sax bending, and other effects by rotating the wheel. The WK-7500 and CTK-7000 also include a modulation button that applies vibrato as long as it is depressed.

A sustain pedal is indispensable for piano play. The latest digital technology is used to collect samples of acoustic piano sounds to bring you piano quality that is virtually identical to the real thing.

Ensemble play with the touch of a button

A wide selection of rhythm patterns ranges from basics like POPS, ROCK, JAZZ, and WALTZ, to rhythms that suit local music from around the globe. Simply play a chord and the keyboard adds the appropriate band or orchestra accompaniment automatically. *WK-7500, CTK-7000 : 250 rhythms ; WK-6500, CTK-6000 : 200 rhythms

Use the Rhythm buttons to select a rhythm type and then use the large dial to select a rhythm.

Press the ACCOMP ON/OFF button and then the SYNCHRO button to enter accompaniment pattern play standby.

Play a simplified chord fingering in the accompaniment area on the left side of the keyboard and an appropriate band or orchestra accompaniment will be added automatically.

With the arpeggiator, you can play various arpeggios and other phrases automatically by simply pressing keys on the keyboard. You can select from among 150 different phrases including guitar arpeggios and stroke play, and phrases that are optimized for bass and synthesizer.

SYNCHRO button : Press to enter standby, which causes accompaniment play to begin when keyboard keys are pressed. A "NORMAL" indicator flashes on the display when standby is enabled.

Real-time parameter changes

A 32-channel mixer function provides you with control over the volume and other parameters of each individual part using sliders*. Eight of the 32 channels are assigned to Auto Accompaniment, so you could, for example mute all accompaniment parts except for the drums, and use the drums as a background while talking to your audience. *Buttons used for mixer operation on the WK-6500, CTK-6000.

AUDIO IN lets you jam with your favorite artists!

Pedal adds another dimension to your play!

Connecting a music player to the AUDIO IN jack causes the audio from the player to be output through the keyboard's speakers. Of course, you can play along with the audio, which means you can enjoy jamming with your favorite artists. It's a great way to liven up a party or any other type of social gathering.

Attaching a separately available sustain pedal unit (SP-20) enables control of start and stop using the pedal, so you can focus your full concentration on your keyboard play.

Audio Recording Tone/Rhythm Editing A Tone Editor lets you edit the parameters of a built-in tone to create your own original tones that add a personal touch to your performances. Or you can create totally new rhythms using the Pattern Sequencer. You can even create original drum and bass parts.

With the full-featured 17-track Song Sequencer, you can record your keyboard play as you play along with your original Auto Accompaniment rhythm. You can use multi-track recording to layer different instruments and create your final recording.

Audio Recording

Adjust the volume, pan, reverb, and other settings of each part for better balance, which gives your music a more polished feel.

Input guitar and vocal parts into your recordings. After you are done you can create a demo audio file by storing your finished creation on an SD memory card.

A full-featured 17-track Song Sequencer acts as a multi-track recorder, so you can use it for real-time recording of your keyboard play. 17 tracks mean that you can perform multi-track recording to layer bass, guitar, and other instruments onto a piano part and build to a final song. Both real-time and step recording are supported. Completed recordings can be converted to SMF (Standard MIDI File) format and stored to an SD memory card. Real-time Recording Step Recording

Keyboard and Auto Accompaniment play can be recorded in real-time. You also can specify duration and pitch note by note, without playing on the keyboard.

Normal keyboard play, Auto Accompaniment, Song Sequencer play, INST IN terminal input, MIC IN terminal input and other audio can be recorded to an SD memory card as digital audio data. While playing back a song you created with the Song Sequencer, you can play along with on a guitar or other instrument, or input vocal with a microphone. *Availability: WK-7500, CTK-7000 Up to approximately 13 minutes of recording per file.

Computer management of audio files created with Audio Recording Digital audio data saved to an SD memory card with the Audio Recording function is recorded using a CASIO original format. Download of a special application named Data Manager 6.0 to your computer is required in order to convert the data to WAV format. Note-by-note rhythm creation The Pattern Sequencer lets you edit and create patterns that can be played by the Auto Accompaniment function. Up to 100 original user rhythms can be stored in memory for later recall when they are needed. The tables to the right show the six patterns and the eight parts that can be created in each pattern. In addition to being able to edit existing rhythm patterns, you also can record each part of all patterns anew and create your own totally original rhythm pattern.

Composing support for guitarists and other non-keyboardists

305 presets covering a wide range of musical genres automatically configure Auto Accompaniment, tone, reverb, and other settings. Progressions can be looped for ad lib practice and melody line composing. You can even change the arrangement of a chord progression.

Rhythm Editor Rearrange built-in rhythms to create your own original user rhythms. Select a musical genre and then use the large dial to select the Music Preset you want.

While the Music Preset plays, you can use it as an inspiration for a melody or musical phrase.

You can edit the chord progression to create an original song, modifying the chords, deleting chords, or inserting new chords. Chords can be input on the keyboard.

Glossary of Terms Attack Time Time for run-up of a note from from key press until peak. A tone's attack time can be edited with the Tone Editor.

Music Preset Edit Screen

Release Time Time for decay of a note after a key is released. A tone's release time can be edited with the Tone Editor.

Chord Edit Screen

Cutoff Frequency A timbre adjustment parameter that cuts off frequency components higher than a specified frequency. A tone's brightness can be adjusted with the Tone Editor.

Vibrato

Musical performance technique that applies a regular pulsating change of pitch.

Chorus/Reverb Chorus is an effect that makes it sound like multiple notes are being sounded simultaneously. Reverb is an acoustic reverberation effect. Both effects can be added to give more depth to the sound.

DSP

Effectors that apply diverse effects.

Registration Memory

Registration is a function that lets you save a keyboard setup (tone, rhythm, and other settings). Recalling a registration while playing or performing any other operation changes the entire keyboard setup in an instant.

Quantize After real-time recording with the sequencer, quantize can be used to correct for mistiming and to set notes on exact beats and fractions of beats.

Velocity Value The speed at which a keyboard key is pressed, which is used to determine keyboard pressure and set volume and timbre settings. Velocity is a very important setting for keyboard expressivity.
