How about exploring Mechelen before or after your event? Travel back in time as you walk through narrow streets and past historic buildings. Mechelen is home to an amazing 336 listed buildings and monuments, including eight gothic and baroque churches that were built between the 14th and the 17th century. As such, it is the Flemish city with the largest number of monuments on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Not surprising, when you know that during the Burgundian period (late 15th, early 16th century), Mechelen was the capital of the Netherlands. Are your delegates getting hungry?
