"NOW YOU SEE ME, NOW YOU DON'T" was our last project in Erasmus + 2014-2021 era. The exchange included 7 countries: Greece, latvia Poland, North Macedonia, Spain, Serbia and Romania and took place in Sarata Monteoru and Buzau between 21-30 march 2022. The aim of the project was to increase the degree of education and responsibility of young people in preventing and combating air pollution for a better quality of life and environmental sustainability.
Objectives were: 1. Increasing consumer responsibility among youngsters to prevent the effects of air pollution on the environment 2. Promoting through creative methods the active and healthy lifestyle as an alternative to reduce the effects of air pollution on the human body and society 3. Developing through non-formal education methods new competencies for the application of air pollution prevention and combat solutions in the local communities
The methodology was based on nonformal education, practical and experiential learning experienced in previous projects and adapted to the specific conditions of the theme, partnership, learning objectives and proposed activities, ensuring the active access and involvement of all participants.
The project activities were preparation, introduction, getting to know eachother, trust, teambuilding and group dynamics games, presentations of participants and Erasmus + program and youthpass certification, cultural and study visits in the surroundings, intercultural evenings. The purpose of this workshop is to increase the awareness of participants about the amount of CO2 emissions they produce. Participants asked to answer a quiz in which the results are real and for each participant they are different.
After uploading the results, participants asked to discuss about them and explain why do they believe they achieved these scores. Each participant had a different CO2 Footprint because we each live in different conditions. The participant answers showed that others are more environmentally friendly and others less so.

Love is in the air, so why pollute it? A poster about some basic information on air pollution statistics; Highest and lowest PM2.5 in North Macedonia, Latvia, Romania, Greece and Poland. Around this information we can also see the primary air pollutants; NO, SO2, CO, CO2, NO2. Love is in the air, stop the air pollution! Some positive information for Spain, Poland and Romania with some negative information regarding Serbia and a graph with statistics about Greece and Poland, alongside different drawings. Love is in the air, Tree The main element of the poster is a tree where -starting from top to bottom- the branches and the leaves are filled with things that can be done to be a bit more environmentally friendly such as renewable energy, stricter legislations and awareness. The roots on the other hand, are filled with pollutants such as wildfires and emissions.
Love is in the air; I can't breathe A poster focusing on the health aspects of air pollution. With a pyramid starting with relatively mild symptoms all the way up to a lot more serious ones. Love is in the air: Pollution/ Solution An animated poster focusing on ways to reduce pollution such as cutting down on fast fashion, alongside some not so ecofriendly drawings. Love is in the air: Earth Pocket Starting on the outside with some general facts on air pollution. In the middle of the poster we can find a ''pocket'' where on the cover there are some harmful pollutants and when you open it, you can find some environmentally friendly ideas.
ND LA T AR
Working in teams, we created a piece of art associated with now you see it, now you don't, we could use what we found in the forest, eithout damaging it. Through the creative process, we discovered the common interests of the team and how we understand the theme of our artwork to successfully complete the workshop.
Our land art idea is about trees. One is the bad man who cut down the precious trees in our nature. The people around are crying and showing their emotions about the destroyed forest. The significance is that when we grow a tree, we see it, but when we cut it down, we no longer see it.
Our land art is a metaphor for preserving life and fighting the pollution. The green represent the life we have to protect and the dead forest represent what will happen if we lose the fight against pollution.
Journey to pollution (the small one on the ground): Our structure is about how littering is slowly affecting nature and even though we try to stop it, it might already be too late.
Our land art represents an eko-friendly shelter from the pollution and the possible consequences of destroying the nature. We are sending the sarcastic message warming people that the same fate is waiting for us all if we don't take care of the nature.
People enjoy relaxing in nature, especially go hiking in the woods. Of course an integral part of these hikes is the setting up of tents, roasting meat, and so on. Only in these wonderful places of rest are many things and substances forgotten, that do not recompose in nature and create pollution.
Shelter to nature: our structure is about how we must protect the environment and how we should think our impact to the environment has to be only in a positive way before is too late.

There are many material things in our lives, but if we had to choose 8 things without which we could not survive, what would they be?
In the beginning, each participant had to choose 8 things without which they cannot survive in their lives. We needed to work in teams, we only could choose 6 things and create a story, a song, or a poem that includes those 6 words. Some things without which the participants cannot live: health money home family friends

What is The World Cafe? It is a effective, modern method for hosting large group discussions and a great way to express Your opinion on important topics like the world`s pollution.
What did we do? We chosed our moderators, who asked questions about climate change, disease increasing, animal extinction and human physical and mental health due to air pollution. It is a serious issue that needs to be treated accordingly. Each day we did something different. Each day everyone had a chance to discuss and express their thoughts on causes, severe effects due to the pollution and solutions so we all could make our world a better place. This severe problem is literally taking lives.
Causes: - Transportation: planes, cars, ships, motorcycles etc. - Natural pollution: volcanos, tsunami, tornados - Human negligence: smoking, polluting, destroying nature - Wildfires - Human made disasters (example: Chernobyl) - Wars - Uncontrolled usage of world’s resources - Oversized use of factories - Pollution from corporations - Gas leaking
Negative effects: - Human physical health: moreandmore people are suffering from illnesses like diabetes, cancer, pneumonia, asthma, allergies and are at a larger chance of suffering from heart diseases, because our red blood cells aren’t getting enough hemoglobine - Human mental health: depression, anxiety, vegetative Dystonia and other mental illness increasing
- Air pollution can help with the creation of smog, which can of course lead to more health issue; - Polluted air mixed with wather turns into clouds of acid rain which slowly destroy infrastructure, local monuments and statues, as well as buildings; - Goverment has more people on sick leave which is expensive and can crash an economy or at least greatly weaken it.
Solutions: - Reduce or eliminate fireplace and wood stove use - Avoid using gas-powered lawn and garden equipment - Avoid burning leaves, trash, and other materials - Minimize air pollution from cars - Grow your own food - Save energy - Constume less and choose sustainable products - Use low watt bulbs or energy-saving lights - Don’t burn garbage - Properly dispose of refrigerant, refrigeration equipment, and used coolant
Air pollution is getting even worse, but people still wastes a lots of worlds resources. At the moment one of the biggest air pollutionsis in China, all those fabrics and factories are making about 35% of pollution in world. They are buying fresh air every day - is that our future too?
Here is a part of their work. Our topic: One day in our lifes. Enjoy! Health is not replaced by money Life without clothes would be funny Food is important too, but killing animals is not cool Family and friends give you happiness, trust and Without them your life is not tasty! I don't know what it was hoping All the colors showed me the way and I thought that's okey Freedom of speech is the shit and if you don't think so you are not it Nature brings me back to life and people who don't live it can say goodbye
We can't all live without different things, but the participants also had things in common. The workshop provided an opportunity to assess how much we each value our lives and how we reflect that assessment.

The topic is air pollution. The room is divided in three parts: Agree, Disagree and the border. The participants are shown different statements. After some consideration they have to move accordingly to that part of the room that best aligns with their thoughts.
''Industrial Development is more important than combat air pollution'': The majority was at the border. ''Low cost flights should be banned for distances longer than 2500 km''. The majority was on ''Disagree.
''Government should introduce new taxes for population to prevent air pollution''. There was some confusion around whether the ones that should be taxed are the individuals or the companies." ''Inside cities should be allowed only electric cars''. Majority on disagree: The focus was on how not affordable electric cars are.
"Developing renewable wind energy is not justified and sustainable''. Majority on border-confusion due to compicated terminology.
In conclusion, the majority of the participants ended up together in a group. There were also some instances were the minority on the other side expressed some thoughts that better suited ''the border''.
