CLUBHOUSE CONVERSATIONS By: Brittany Taylor, Community Manager We’re gearing up for the Summer season at the Regency Clubhouse, and we could not be more excited! It is our goal to utilize all 22,000 square feet of space to provide the luxury, active, resort-style experience our residents expect. We are honored to have each and every resident as a part of our community and look forward to making this inaugural Summer a memorable one! Classes in our fitness studio have proven to be quite popular. As we grow, we plan on expanding on the classes currently offered, which include gentle yoga, mat pilates, aqua aerobics, and yoga on the Regency Clubhouse Parade Grounds. Of course, all residents are welcome to attend and make suggestions on class offerings, instructors, and schedules – we look forward to your continued suggestions as we strive to make the community the best it can be.

Enjoy our beautiful climate and make good use of the outdoor pool while this glorious weather lasts! A lounge chair, shade canopy, and cool drink are all that is required to have a fabulous afternoon. If you’re interested in hosting an event in the enclosed cabana, please stop by the Clubhouse and we’ll give you the details on how to reserve this unique space. The enclosed cabana comes equipped with a TV, fireplace, and access to the kitchen and bar. If social groups are more your speed, check out one of the many different options we have available at the Clubhouse including golf, tennis, wine, mahjong, pickleball, charitable giving, and more. We hope you enjoy your time here as much as we do, and we thank you all for making Regency at Summerlin the sought after destination it is today!

REGENCY CLUBHOUSE GRAND OPENING Visitors flocked to see our state-of-the-art clubhouse as it was revealed to the public on March 11th. The day was highlighted with a ribbon cutting, radio personalities broadcasting from the Regency Parade Grounds, tennis and pickleball exhibitions, cooking demonstrations, live music, BBQ, and more!

HOME IMPROVEMENTS Many of our residents move into the community prepared to make final additions to their new homes and to get started on their dream backyards. (Remember all exterior improvements must go through the architectural review process before commencing.)

Once the groundwork has been laid and you’re ready to break ground, keep your project nailed down with six simple guidelines: 1. Choose a contractor that is licensed and bonded, and check their references before committing to use their services. 2. Reconcile your contractors’ objectives with your own. You want your project to be completed on time and on budget. Contractors want to maximize their compensation. Design a compensation plan that ensures your objectives will be met at each stage of the project and incentivizes your contractor to meet your specified goals on time.

3. Nothing drives down prices like competition. Any price you obtain without competition will be higher than a price you obtain with it. 4. Write down everything you expect. Effective competition requires a complete, accurate, and final definition of the goods and services involved in the project.

5. Use standard forms for your contracts. The American Institute of Architects offers a variety of sample documents at www.aia.org/docs_default. Just realize there’s no such thing as a standard project and customize your contracts accordingly.

6. There is no substitute for professionalism. An architect, contractor, or other participant in your project who has a track record of character and professionalism will likely demonstrate those qualities on your project. A participant with the opposite track record will probably remain true to form.

VIP CLUBHOUSE OPENING PART Y

Residents and their friends were treated to a special pre-opening evening on March 9th with festivities including musical stylings by Nikolas Mastrangelo, a cooking demonstration by MasterChef Winner Shaun O’Neale, fun, food, and refreshments.
