FALL IN LOVE WITH REGENCY Fall in Reno is one of the best seasons of the year for a variety of reasons. The mild weather allows residents to participate in several annual outdoor community events as well as on-site Regency events. Popular community events include the Great Reno Balloon Race involving up to 100 hot air balloons, the National Championship Air Races showcasing vintage and modern planes, and the Best in the West Rib Cook-Off filling the streets with 23 of the best rib smokers in the world. These events draw large crowds of people from all over the country and make Reno a truly special place to visit in the fall. Additionally, Regency homeowners will enjoy a day trip to Apple Hill. This popular fall attraction includes visiting over a dozen apple orchards, local wineries and breweries, and craft fairs. The fall colors make the drive to Apple Hill a spectacular sight and well worth the visit. Apple donuts, caramel apples, apple pie, and hot apple cider are just a few of the delectable treats available to visitors. Whether indulging in a tasty treat or finding a handmade gift, nobody leaves empty handed! This season we have a variety of events and activities scheduled. Regency homeowners will enjoy outdoor live music concerts, a trip to Genoa for the annual Candy Dance Festival, a ride on the Lake Tahoe M.S. Dixie, the annual Halloween Party, a Virginia City Ghost Tour, a holiday live cooking demonstrations, and much more. I hope to see you here this fall and look forward to showing you why Regency was recently voted one of the Top Fifty Places to Retire by Where to Retire magazine! By Mike Aguilar, Lifestyle Director
EXPERIENCE REGENCY LUXURY GUEST HOUSES One of the best ways to experience Regency is to stay in one of our luxury guest houses. The Experience Regency program allows visitors to learn more about this exceptional community, meet the local Toll Brothers team and homeowners, and explore Reno. Experience Regency guests will enjoy a personal guided tour of the nine model homes and recreational amenities, meet Mike Aguilar, our community Lifestyle Director for an introduction to the lifestyle events, groups, and activities, and have an opportunity to meet Regency residents and learn from their experiences. Experience Regency guests will have access to the incredible 17,000 sq. ft. clubhouse and amenities which includes a swimming pool, fitness center, tennis, pickleball, and bocce courts. For $129 you can stay one or two nights and stay in either our Delamar or Sundance guest house. While you are here, join us for a community event and meet your future neighbors!
RENO PHILHARMONIC The Reno Philharmonic is the largest performing arts organization in the Reno– Tahoe region with over 60 professional musicians. They perform more than 30 concerts annually in Reno, Carson City, and Lake Tahoe, many of them at no cost to the community. The Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts, Sand Harbor at Lake Tahoe, and Wingfield Park by the Truckee River are just a few of the many indoor and outdoor venues the Reno Philharmonic performs at each year. Their Classix One Fantastique performance in October will feature violinist Chloe David Calvert Photography
Hanslip who plays a Guarneri del Gesú from 1737. In November, guest pianist Christopher O’Riley will appear in their Classix Two Sibelius performance.
REGENCY CLUBHOUSE PUBLIC GRAND OPENING Regency at Damonte Ranch opened its 17,000-square-foot luxury active-adult clubhouse to the public on June 24. Highlighting this event was a cooking demonstration from Chef Josh Deri, owner of Blend Catering, in the state-of-the-art demonstration kitchen. The celebration continued with a public ribbon cutting ceremony with Mike Kazmierski, President & CEO of Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN), a live radio broadcast,
pickleball tournament, tennis exhibition, water volleyball demonstration, live music, bocce demonstration, and additional cooking demos. Residents and visitors thoroughly enjoyed all of the festivities and look forward to many more events in the new clubhouse. The fabulous resort-style Regency lifestyle certainly came to life during the opening!
