A YEAR TO REMEMBER AT REGENCY By: Lisa Federico, Lifestyle Director As the winter months arrive, residents will enjoy a calendar filled with engaging events perfect for cooler temperatures and cozy evenings. Along with lazy mornings by the pool for coffee and donuts, or a savory Bagel Nosh, homeowners will be treated to monthly New Resident Welcome celebrations, Dinner Lectures, Monday Night Football parties, and Afternoon Tea . Bingo Bashes will get silly, and the competition will be high during our first annual Regency Chili Cook Off. We will take a trip down memory lane by celebrating National Peanut Butter Lovers Month with PB&J sandwiches, milk, and cookies in the Clubhouse Grand Lounge. Over the next couple of months, we’ll enjoy a Brass Band Concert, Golden Knights Hockey Games, a Mobile Bike Clinic, and our first
Regency at Summerlin Clubhouse
Thanksgiving Pot Luck Dinner. We’ll go all out in December with a bus tour to the Glittering Lights at the Motor Speedway – a display of holiday lights that have been dazzling Las Vegas residents and worldwide visitors for the past 12 years. Additionally, we’ll go holiday caroling around our neighborhood and rock the night away singing holiday tunes. We’ll end the year on a high note by enjoying Nevada Ballet Theatre’s Nutcracker and a festive gala at the Clubhouse. There’s something for everyone at Regency at Summerlin – a vibrant neighborhood evolving into a real family community. I look forward to meeting you and welcoming you home.

SOUTHERN HILLS HOSPITAL HOSTS DINNER LECTURE In October, a team of medical professionals from nearby Southern Hills Hospital generously brought a free dinner lecture to Regency. The topic was ER versus Urgent Care. This lecture informed us of how to make educated decisions related to medical care. An ambulance was also driven into the parking lot for us to learn how the mode of care works. Dinner from Panera Bread was a hit and the Q&A series was lively. This was a valuable learning experience that we’ll remember in the event of a future accident, illness, or emergency. In continuing our monthly dinner lecture series, Dr. John Baldauf will discuss “Everything You Need to Know About Orthopedics” in November.

TOURNAMENT PLAYERS CLUB BRINGS PGA TOUR TO REGENCY Tournament Players Club (TPC) Las Vegas brought the fabulous PGA Tour to Regency for an evening of free video swing analysis courtesy of PGA professional Matt Henderson. Residents enjoyed trying the latest and greatest Callaway clubs and quality time talking with the local TPC team. A wine and cheese reception capped off a perfect evening for community golf enthusiasts. We are excited to repeat this event in early spring.
