TRIP TO BONNIE SPRINGS RANCH Residents enjoyed a beautiful spring day and a bus ride out to Bonnie Springs Ranch located in the Mojave Desert just below the Spring Mountains in Red Rock Canyon. The group loved the beautiful mountain vista, riding an old fashioned train, burro sightings, taking lots of fun photos and having lunch at The Bonnie Springs Ranch Restaurant - established in 1964 and known for the best burgers and chuckwagon steak in Red Rock Canyon. The saloon style lunch was hale and hearty and good fuel for an afternoon walk around the ranch.

REGENCY AT SUMMERLIN By: Lisa Federico, Executive Lifestyle Director After a relatively mild winter spring drifted over our mountains in breezy, warm sunshine. The days are longer now and residents are enjoying bocce, pickleball and tennis, our magnificent pool and long walks with new friends and frolicking dogs, all who call Regency at Summerlin home. The community has enjoyed substantial growth in the last several months and to my delight, our neighborhood family has bonded in ways I could not have imagined. Fast friendships have developed by way of small social events, large gatherings and fun fitness classes. Now we’ll hit the ground running by the time summer marks the calendar! Regular events such as French Pastry Friday, People and Pets on The Patio and the Mobile Car Wash will share the June calendar with a Corn on the Cob BBQ in celebration of National Corn on the Cob Day, a bus trip to Ethel M and the spectacular cactus garden next to the chocolate factory and our all new Pub Night with pub food, lots of beer and billiards, and a good time with friends and neighbors.

In July we’ll proudly recognize Independence Day – celebrating in style at the Outdoor Pool and thoroughly enjoy the evening view of The Strip and “Vegas Style” fireworks. We’ll also be celebrating National Ice Cream Day, National Hot Dog Day and just for fun we’ll recognize National Lollipop Day – bringing back longtime memories and everyone’s inner child. We’re pulling out all the stops in August and will be celebrating National Beer Day on the 3rd! And for the bakers and tasters in the community it’s time to pull out secret recipes and let the competition begin for the Chocolate Chip Cookie Bake Off – complete with judges and prizes. Also planned, grilled chicken at the BBQ, a community brunch and a Sunday afternoon poolside social luncheon. It’s always exciting for me to welcome new residents to the community, to introduce them to neighbors and soon see them thrive and enjoy a community like no other. Regency at Summerlin. Welcome Home!

Lots of icy cold soda and beer topped off the event – set at Regency’s beautiful BBQ Patio and decorated in honor of Memorial Day. A bonus to the event: Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals.
