By Jeff Turk, Senior Project Manager For the past two years countless people have been working tirelessly to bring the Regency at Damonte Ranch community to life in preparation for new friends and neighbors who would eventually call Regency home. From our land development partners who manage the road and infrastructure to the construction managers, interior designers, and landscape architects who created the exquisite model home park we unveiled this past June, our goal is to create an exciting and fun filled community for our future homeowners to call home. Just this past month, Regency hit a major milestone by welcoming our first residents to their new homes. Chris and Denise Reams secured the official “first Regency resident” title on October 20th. Long-time Reno residents, Chris and Denise told us they decided to call Regency home because “we wanted to live in a 55 plus community with people that share similar interests.”. They are also looking forward to “developing new friendships and becoming actively involved in the community.” We actually welcomed five homeowners to Regency in October and are looking forward to welcoming another five this month! While the first Regency homeowners work on unpacking all those moving boxes we will continue to work on the next community

milestone: the construction of not one, but two community recreation centers. Construction is well underway for the Presidio Clubhouse. Excavation began on the outdoor pool last month, work on the interior of the Presidio Clubhouse will continue throughout the winter, and we anticipate the access road to the clubhouse will be completed in early spring of 2016. Meanwhile, we are moving forward with the construction of the fabulous Regency Clubhouse now too. At an estimated 18,000 square feet, the clubhouse will include an indoor pool, a spa, a billiards room, a weight and cardio room, and an aerobics and fitness center. The lounge area will provide the perfect location for wine-tastings, community pot-lucks, and other community social gatherings. We look forward to celebrating the completion of this milestone with you in late 2016. artist rendering
THERE’S PLENTY TO BE THANKFUL FOR AT REGENCY! By Mike Aguilar, Executive Director – Amenities Center As we come closer to finishing out 2015 and bringing in the New Year, it’s good to reflect on the past and contemplate the future. For me, personally, the past year brought many thrilling changes including my new position here at Regency. I am excited to be in on the ground floor of something as amazing as Regency! It’s going to be an incredible year filled with excitement and activities! The amenities, the lifestyle programming, and new friendships will all be a part of what makes your new community a place you will be proud to call home. I find it fascinating to listen to our homeowners’ journeys and what brought them to Regency. A common theme I hear is “we want to live in a community with friends and enjoy our retirement years in a social setting”! I smile when I hear these conversations knowing that the decision to move into Regency is the right move filled with a wealth of new social connections and physical activities. Hiking, Golfing, Skiing, Snowshoeing, Pickleball, Tennis and Bocce are just a few of the Resident Group activities that homeowners can enjoy on a regular basis. The Resident Groups will stimulate your body and mind as you connect with people who share the same interests. If you have never tried any of these activities, there is always a homeowner willing to help get you started! Regency will also have plenty of indoor activities to keep you relaxed, learning, and connected! Educational seminars will cover a wide variety of topics, including fitness, travel, health, finances,
and history. Bridge, Bunco, Pinochle, and a variety of other social games will be established as well! Lastly, a variety of services and perks will be provided to our homeowners including flu shots, shredding of documents after tax season, 55-Alive driver discounts, knife sharpening, etc. Obviously, there will be a multitude of activities and programming to choose from and this doesn’t include the social events with food and beverages that will be offered. In 2016 Regency homeowners can look forward to a variety of activities to fill their calendars while meeting new neighbors and establishing lifelong friendships! It’s going to be a GREAT 2016 at Regency and I for one am proud to be a part of it all!!

Regency homeowners gathered for a fun social evening that was all about getting to know their new neighbors on Friday, September 18th. The evening included heavy appetizers, beverages, and a lot of great social interaction as they learned about their neighbor’s life history, career choices, hobbies, and interests. We had a great turn-out with 32 out of 40 new homeowners in attendance. There is a terrific mix of other great socials, trips, and activities highlighted within the “Special Events Calendar” located in this publication. There are a variety of activities to choose from and the fun has only just begun!!
