C • Where we live the land and snow for most of is covered with ice the year. • When we go out on journeys across the ice we build special houses to live in. • These are called igloos and are made out of blocks of snow. • Inside the igloo it is nice and warm because the snow keeps out the cold and the wind. • Do you live in a cold place or a hot place? • What sort of house do you live in? • Would you like to live in an igloo? • Do you think you could build one? • How big would you need to make it? Development from baby to young child
Being curious Key Age range
Young babies are curious about the world around them and keen to explore it. In their play they are actively finding out more about their surroundings. New experiences fascinate them and they enjoy playing with toys that feel, look, sound and smell interesting. By pointing, reaching, grasping, lifting and shaking they are developing their coordination and finding out what things will do.
