For 2014 we added a several of new rods to our conventional rod family. We have changed designations on some of the Tactical Series rods, creating a new bass specific family. With multiple actions and powers, these are must have rods for the casting deck of the bass boat. Legendary angler Flip Pallot has also lent his skills to a new series of spinning and casting rods, The Mangrove Series. These rods are ideal for the coastal angler who must adapt to tough conditions and high winds. Due to demand, we have also added a Heavy action spinning rod in the TFG family of travel rods.

OUR RODS
HAVE A STORY... Nearly three decades ago, Gary Loomis founded the G.Loomis® rod company and quickly garnered the attention and admiration of the world’s most discerning anglers. Using cutting edge technology and engineering, he designed tools that have defined high performance in rods. After selling his name sake company in 1997 and relinquishing all ties to that brand, Gary dedicated his efforts to protecting and rehabilitating the fisheries of the Pacific Northwest. He currently serves as president and chairman on a number of boards and conservation associations, which strive daily to protect the diminishing fisheries of the Northwest.
Although Gary is no longer affiliated with his former company, his desire to “build the best rods available,” remains. Through mutual admiration and respect, Gary Loomis and TFO joined forces and began creating what many will argue are the lightest and most responsive spinning and casting rods available. Not only is Gary fully-committed to building the best fishing rods available, but, he also believes in passing along his knowledge and experience to younger generations and encouraging them to participate in outdoor recreation. He believes that TFO’s Affordable – High Performance approach forms a great base for this growth.
Working with TFO allows me to put high-quality rods in the hands of potential anglers that otherwise would not have access to this kind of gear. It is these new anglers that, through their enjoyment of the sport, will help us protect our threatened fisheries.
LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY If your rod fails for any reason, Temple Fork Outfitters will repair or replace your rod for $35.00, plus the cost of return shipping. Dealers are not authorized to offer replacements under this warranty. If you have a rod fail for any reason, please return it to our address in Dallas, TX. In the event of a broken or damaged one-piece rod blank, it is not necessary to send us your entire rod. Instead, send us the name and logoed portion of the rod, as well as current contact information, (physical address, email and phone number). Upon receipt, we will contact you with the return shipping charges. Once we receive payment, we will send out your new rod, (typically within 24 hours of receiving it). For warranty service on multiple piece rods, the entire rod must be shipped to us for repair. TACTICAL GUIDES TFO's high performance Tactical Guides are designed to withstand the most rigorous fishing conditions, while providing the ultimate in weight savings. The guides feature super hard-chrome anodized, stainless steel inserts pressed into a machined, hard-anodized, chromium impregnated stainless steel frame for extreme durability in both fresh and saltwater.
MAGNUM ACTION Magnum actions are two powers heavier than their corresponding power. If a rod was a magnum medium or “4”, on our scale it would be equivalent to a “6,” or a heavy action. In addition to having more power, the rods are stiffer and faster than Gary’s traditional actions.

BASS
By utilizing a new proprietary scrim in conjunction with TFO’s high modulus carbon fiber, Gary was able to reduce weight and increase sensitivity without sacrificing strength. GTS Bass blanks are tastefully finished - simply polished, with a thin layer of matte clear coat to enhance the natural luster of the fibers. TFO’s trademark Color ID Split Grip is further complemented by a two piece reel seat and a natural cork ring split grip. GTS rods are topped with TFO’s proprietary Tactical Series guides, machined stainless steel inserts are super hard chrome anodized then swaged into a chromium impregnated stainless frame.

SURF RODS

As airlines add more luggage restrictions, the multi-piece spinning and casting rods will become the norm for the traveling angler.
