Dear EHS Class of 2020,

On behalf of the entire staff at Eastern High School, I wanted to take a moment to extend our heartfelt congratulations to you on completing your academic career with us. Even though the time you had with us at Eastern was less than any of us wanted, I speak for all your administrators, teachers, counselors, cafeteria workers, custodians, librarians, instructional assistants, and support staff when I tell you that the impact you made on all of us certainly wasn’t.

Your academic success, your athletic accomplishments, your musical and artistic talents, your culinary skills, and your inspiring camaraderie will never be forgotten - by any of us. The manner in which you have handled the disappointments and frustrations associated with these unprecedented circumstances - cancelled senior sports seasons, concerts, awards banquets, and countless memories foreited - has been exemplary. You have navigated the awkwardness of completing high school online with a grace and dignity that speaks well of your maturity, your tenacity, and the very spirit we have all come to appreciate so much about you.

There are great things ahead of each of you, and we look forward to watching with pride all you go on to accomplish. Whatever that is and wherever it happens, please know that you will always be a most memorable class, and an invaluable part of our Eastern family.
