Triple B Equine Continues To Grow And Thrive In Elkhart County

Nestled at a crossroads within bucolic eastern Elkhart County there lies a tiny neighborhood of farms and families. The sounds of machinery and hard work rumble along and around the countryside, interspersed with the laughter of children, kicking up little clouds of dust as they run beneath a canopy of summer sunshine. On one farmstead, there is a distinguished stallion who has proven himself to be something of a king to the rural castle, though he is certainly unaware of his legendary status. His name is Big Bad Bently, and he is one of the many reasons that Triple B Equine has been able to grow and thrive over the past few years. Triple B Equine is the family enterprise of Bryan and LuAnn Miller of rural Goshen. The heart of the business focuses on what Bryan Miller calls stallion management, including reproduction endeavors.

Triple B Equine was founded in 2020 and launched in Miller’s hometown of Shipshewana. The family relocated to their current homestead in January.

While navigating the intrigues and challenges of a rapidly rising business, the Millers stay busy raising their five children, Nevaeh, age nine; Blake, eight; Bryson, five; Brent, three; and Ariana, one.

Over the past three years, the business has “grown by leaps and bounds,” Miller says. His childhood fondness for horses manifested itself in a lifelong career and calling.

“I’ve always liked horses, as far back as I can remember. It was my dream to do it full-time,” he says.

Prior to that leap of faith into fulfilling that hope of being home full-time, Miller had been working a factory job.

Equine provides for the reproduction of strong, healthy horses, Miller has also become skilled at training young horses to the rigors and routines of farm life. He works with the horses on-site to condition them for adulthood, making sure he uses his expertise to outfit the horses properly, like shoeing them.

On a similar tangent, Miller also welcomes customers who are in need of preparing their horses for sale.

“This time of year, I’m usually looking for more sales prep customers,” he says.

The Millers have not limited their work with animals to simply horses. They also raise puppies for resale, most notably golden retrievers, Welsh corgis, and pugs.
