The Fresno Adventist Academy Family In 1897, Adventist Education came to Fresno in a one-room classroom. In 1921, Fresno Adventist Academy expanded to twelve grades with the first class graduating the following year. Today, the student population of the Academy is comprised of great ethnic diversity. Students are as unique as the twelve
constituent churches, numerous surrounding Adventist churches, and the widestretched Fresno community members they represent. Three historical themes are timeless and carry forward are 1) spiritual growth, 2) academic advancement, and 3) the desire for adequate educational facilities.
Annual Fund Every year, the Annual Fund continues to be the way that the school “closes the gap” between its expenses and its income. Every aspect of the school is touched by the Annual Fund support. These dollars are spent in the same year they are received—making each year’s need for renewed support even more vital. Funding priorities are as diverse as the needs of our students and faculty. The alumni portion of the Annual Fund is known as the Loyalty Fund. Annual Fund contributions are monitored fiscally from July 1st-June 30th.
Facility Our buildings are our student’s home for education, music, and spiritual growth. The buildings provide more than shelter, they serve the community and they are among the most recognizable symbols of our school. Expanding programs on campus, such as a Pre-kindergarten, will enhance the offerings to our constituents and community. There is an immediate need to Raise the Roof! Your contribution is essential to restore the roofs and buildings to their full glory.
Future From one generation to the next, the educational experience remains rich with traditions—strengthening our relationships and ensuring the academic success. Donors establishing endowment funds launch an infinite number of new possibilities for Fresno Adventist Academy. A firm financial foundation, through endowments, will mean a strong financial future. Gifts to endowed funds are invested with a percentage spent as targeted by the Board of Trustees to ensure a perpetual source of income and the robust financial health of the school.
