TUTORING WEEKLY TUTORING (Year 5) A comprehensive and wellstructured weekly course covering all aspects of the Kent 11+ exam. The small classes allow for peerto-peer learning and confidence building, under the tuition of an experienced and enthusiastic teacher. Individual needs can be met whilst simultaneously gaining from the benefits of working with like-minded children. Alongside the weekly lessons, there will be consolidating homework and feedback is available. Hour long lessons run on Wednesdays afternoons at 4.15pm and 5.15pm.
TESTIMONIALS “Chelsea was a great and really fun teacher. She made learning and preparing for the 11+ enjoyable, which is quite an achievement! Chelsea made me feel calm, she was always helpful and always gave tips on how to make questions easier to do”. - George N “I learned a lot from Chelsea’s lessons. She made us learn in a fun way. It really helped me do the best I could do. Thank you Chelsea”. - Ben S. “I know that my son, like his two siblings could not have been better prepared. Both the weekly sessions and revision days as well as the mock tests have allowed all three to feel confident in how to tackle the different areas of the test; develop exam techniques and most importantly have helped instil confidence in their own abilities. Chelsea’s ability to relate to the children, to encourage them and to develop their own self belief has, in my opinion, been of huge benefit regardless of the 11+ outcome. All three children felt that they would not have done as well if it hadn’t been for Chelsea. I cannot recommend her sessions more highly”. - Ben’s Mum

PARTNERSHIPS Established in 1996 by Catherine Bellinger, the school prides itself on providing a friendly, fun, yet professional environment for children of all ages to learn dance for pleasure, for fitness or as a vocation. Our team of enthusiastic, experienced and qualified teachers offers a structured learning experience in ballet, tap, modern jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, musical production, singing and drama. For those children who would like to take professional dance qualifications, the school holds Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and International Dance Teachers’ Association examination sessions each year. All pupils are invited to take part in the annual productions, which are great fun, give an opportunity to dance on a large stage and to demonstrate to family and friends all the hard work that’s been put in during the year!
Thanks to the experience, professionalism and hard work of our pupils, alumni and teachers our success as a school has been recognised in a wide variety of ways, including dancing with the stars of Strictly Come Dancing, appearing in the West End in professional musicals and working in respected companies, including The Royal Ballet, The London Children’s Ballet, The English Youth Ballet, The National Youth Ballet and The Southern Youth Ballet. Pupils regularly go on to study at renowned vocational schools including The Royal Ballet School, Tring, Arts Ed, Laines, Bird College of Dance, Ballet Theatre UK and Legat.

Easter & Summer Holiday Courses 4-7 years & 7 years+ ‘Learn to Ride & Skills Improvement’ This course introduces and teaches the basic but essential cycling skills to ensure that children can get on, pedal, balance, steer and safely stop a pedal bike without stabilisers. We also introduce the idea of road and cycling safety with a focus on control, riding in small groups and signalling. In the final session children will use their skills to participate in our custom-built obstacle race track! Children will need to bring their own bike and helmet to the sessions, which will take place inside and outside on Tonbridge School grounds.

r courses - Check current prices online! 23
Prices are listed without any Early Bird discounts applied. When booking online, prices will already include an Early Bird discount (if applicable). In any week where two different prices are displayed for a course, (e.g. Craft’d Bus) the first price relates to the AM option and the second to the PM option.
BOOKINGS How to Book: 1. Please log in online, call 01732 304123 or email recre8@tonbridge-school.org to check availability 2. Bookings can be made online at https://www.recre8courses.co.uk/bookings. New customers will need to fill out the New Customer Sign Up Form to receive login details for the portal. 3. Places can be booked online or by phone and must be paid for in full at the time of booking. 4. a) When booking online, log in, select ‘Make a Booking’ and then select the time period you require - Term time, Half-term, Easter or Summer. The courses available in that period will display with a short description of what they entail (full details are available on the relevant page of the website). Select your preferred course to see when it is running and then click ‘Book’ and follow the instructions to checkout. b) If you have any queries or would like to speak to a member of the team, you can also book and pay by phone or at the Tonbridge School Centre. 5. Those children booked onto term time courses will be given priority when re-booking for the next term opens. Places will be held until the end of the current course, at which time, any places remaining unpaid may be opened up to new customers. To avoid disappointment, please make sure renewal payments are made promptly. 6. When booking Easter or summer courses during the Early Bird period (see inside cover) the relevant discount will automatically be applied whether booking online or via Reception. Early and Late Clubs will be free to book during this period and when booking online should be added to the basket in the same manner as course places. 7. All bookings are non-refundable. If a purchased place is no longer wanted we will do our best to find an alternative or may be able to hold the payment as credit for a future activity. We regret that as cancellations can affect the viability of some courses, refunds can only be offered in extreme circumstances and then, solely at the discretion of the Recre8 Manager. 8. Any payment constitutes acceptance of our terms and conditions, available online at https://www.recre8courses.co.uk/bookings.
