Lowcountry Wellness Center Named Finalist in Three Charleston Choice Awards

Lowcountry Whimsy Expands to a Larger Space in Mt. Pleasant

Lowcountry Whimsy, a Soul Inspiring Gift Shop and Studio closed its doors in the Shoppes on the Common in Mt. pleasant on October 17 to move to a new larger location right down the street. They hope to open the new location in the Gateway to the Beach Shopping Center at 1405 Ben Sawyer Blvd. during the first week of November. Other businesses in the shopping center include CVS & My Father’s Mustache. There are plans for a three-day Grand Opening to occur mid-November. Lowcountry Whimsy offers a big inventory of whimsical gifts, a spiritually inspiring collection of books, jewelry, local artists, and divination tools. Shop owner Sylvia Barnhill is an artist, a Reiki Master/teacher and she conducts channeled meditations and card readings. She originally opened the retail portion of the business under the name Sarva in 2012, along with the studio portion which was known as Sylvia Barnhill Designs. The new name Lowcountry Whimsy was chosen to celebrate the beautiful Charleston area and to better depict the unique items offered in the store. See ad, page 15.
