not quite as good as Harley touring bikes in that respect. Why is that, you may ask? Simple physics. The Indians have a longer wheelbase and rake, slightly less of a lean angle, and the handlebars run out of lock, sooner.

Indian-Harley Wars are Alive and Well Recently, on my YouTube channel, I featured an Indian Chieftain. As the Indian rider at my class rode through one of the exercises, I narrated, explaining what the rider was doing. I also mentioned that while the Indian wasn't quite as nimble as the Harley touring bikes, it had no problem maneuvering through the course as long as the rider knows the proper techniques. Little did I know I'd opened Pandora's Box. "Indians handle way better than Harleys" one rider stated. "Harleys have too high a center of gravity to handle better than an Indian", was another statement. "How much is Harley paying you to make up BS like this", and on it went. Of course, I was simply stating a fact based on physics and my own experience. I'm familiar with both Indians and Harley touring bikes. In fact, I recently made a video called "Ride Like a Pro on Your Indian". In this video, I rode the entire line of Indian motorcycles through the exact course I've ridden Harley's through and I can say without hesitation, Harley touring bikes are more maneuverable than Indian touring bikes. This doesn't mean Indian are bad at low speed maneuvers, just that they are

16

As an aside, metric cruisers like the Kawasaki Voyager and the new Yamaha tourer, as well as these manufacturers cruisers, are much less maneuverable than the Indian because those bikes have longer rakes and wheelbases than the Indian and less lean angles before hard parts start hitting the ground. Now, if you never test your bike's limits at low speeds, and you tend to duck-walk your bike through U-turns and all low speed maneuvers, you probably wouldn't notice the difference. However, that doesn't change the fact that the longer the wheelbase is, and the more raked out the fork is and the less lean angle a bike has, the greater the turning radius will be. Indian makes a fine motorcycle as does Harley. To say one is better than the other is just a matter of opinion. Is low speed handling and maneuverability a priority for you? If the answer is yes, than I suggest you take both for a ride and see which motorcycle you like better. It's as simple as that. If you'd like to get in on the action via my YouTube channel, just type in Ride Like a Pro, Jerry Palladino to subscribe so you can receive my weekly tips. I have over 675 video clips on my channel of my safety tips and clips from my Ride Like a Pro rider classes, for FREE. If you don't have my videos or book, you can save yourself some money at my website's store, www. ridelikeapro.com

All right!! Now that the Holiday Season is behind us, hope that everyone made it safe and sound! Looks like it’s going to be a great year here at Full Throttle Magazine as we have plenty of events lined up, some are local and some stretch the entire state (and then some!). Let’s get the ball roling in January with our Key West Poker Ride, Buddy has been putting in some work getting everything together, and I know that I can’t wait to get down there. Check the magazine/ social media for info on this 2nd Annual Poker Ride, K&G Cycles is giving away either $5,000 or a motorcycle to the winner. AMAZING! Right after that is the 21st Annual Florida Motorcycle Expo and Bike Builder Invitational, 7-10 February, we work all year long putting this one together and are expecting it to be the biggest party we have ever thrown. Food trucks, Bikini Contest, 7 national Acts, 200+ vendors, FREE Bike Parking, FREE admission and did I mention we’re giving away a custom HD Road Glide on that Sunday? You won’t want to miss out on this event. Following that (no rest for the weary) we roll over to the East

34

Coast for Daytona Beach Bike Week, 9 bike shows in 8 days (Deland, Grandview Live, Hard Rock Hotel, Boardwalk and the Daytona International Speedway to name a few) … going to be busy to say the least. Wow, all that is just in the first 3 months.. We have a lot more planned following that as we get into late spring and summer. Have a safe and Happy New Year! On a side note, Congrats to my fellow Chief Petty Officers Matt R. who retires in January after 22.5 years of Naval Service and Buddy Lee who finally got his request approved to retire next year. Fair winds and following seas fellas! Hey y’all! Happy New Years! With the opening of the new year, I have looked back at 2018, and remember all of the amazing events such as the toy run. I want to say a special thank you to all of those who had attended and helped give toys to the children at St. Josephs hospital. It was wonderful to have to have everyone’s support. Welcoming 2019, we have events that are dear to my heart such as Tammy’s ride. Tammy’s ride is January 19th at Eastside Lounge. The event is to help Tammy and her family raise money for future costs. Tammy was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. She has a tumor too close

40

to the Aorta and the doctor’s are refusing to do surgery. The event will include a poker run with 4 stops, 50/50 raffles, gift baskets, food, music and lots of fun! I would love to see everyone there on the 19th! Tammy will be leading this ride as long as she is feeling up to it. Have you heard about the Bike Builder Invitational Build-off expo? My Stilettos on Steel sisters will be volunteering their time for this amazing event with great band line-ups. I, myself, cannot wait to see, Lita Ford. Sponsorships are still available and don’t forget to get your VIP tickets. If you see me out and want to purchase your tickets, I can help. I hope y’all have a wonderful new year and I am excited to ride with everyone. Live, laugh, cake. Tracy

Happy New Year everyone. Can't believe 2019 is here all ready. Which means one thing. Expo Time. We have worked hard all year to bring you the biggest bike event ever held on the west coast of Florida. 7 national acts over 250 vendors along with a huge food court. You can even buy a new bike from Bert's Harley, I Motor Sports, Mora Moto, Cycle Springs or even Indian. We have them all. Take a test drive on all the different brands. Our bar tenders will be slinging cold drinks along with the mixers we all love. Did I mention cheap beer? Come early and stay late. You want to miss a single

thing. With 10 acers to play with there is a lot to do like a burlesque Show on Thursday night before Brian Howe of Bad Company, tons of bands, Bikini contest on Saturday, The Bikes in the Bike Builder Invitational or even the Poker Walk. We have something for everyone! See you there. Feb the 6th through the 10th. Les Tolliver- Sales Manager and Event Organizer 727-534-4447 - Cell Les.FullThrottleMagazine@Gmail.com

I personally want to thank the Biker Community YOU GUYS & GALS ROCK. Big thanks for coming out and supporting Full Throttle events. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the upcoming events. Don't forget to check out Full Throttle Magazine and all of our social media and email blast for new Bike Nights and Events happening in the Tampa Bay Area. Here we go It's almost hard to believe the new year is here already. What an exciting 2018 it was, lots of changes good and bad mostly good though, lots of successes along with a few setbacks. Had great opportunities and met a lot of awesome people at all the different Florida Full Throttle events, even got the chance to briefly meet up with an Army Light fighter Brother I haven't seen or talked to in over twenty years. What a Blast 2018 was. Looking forward to the upcoming 2019-year great things are in the works, you'll have to tune-in to Florida Full Throttle Magazine and social media to know when & where it's all happening. I can tell you one thing the events are going

42

to be awesome. Some new idea's, new venue's, even possible changes to a few of the usual shows. Best of all looking forward to seeing and meeting everyone in the biker community once again. On a different note I really need everyone's help on this one request for the 2019 year and that is to take care of each other, we've loss way too many Veterans and First Responders to suicide the pass year 2018. The stat for Veterans is about 22 a day I think that's 22 a day to many so I'm asking for the entire Biker Community to help me in lowering that number to 0. If you are a Veteran or First Responder YOU ARE NOT ALONE, please reach out and get help even if it's contacting me here at Florida Full Throttle Magazine, in case you are not aware I am a Army Veteran of many years as well. LET’S MAKE 2019 THE YEAR OF ZERO VETERAN AND FIRST RESPONDER SUICIDES. Until Then KEEP THE RUBBER ON THE ROADS FLUFFY Call Me if you are interested in Advertising with Full Throttle, The #1 Motorcycle Magazine in the State of Florida Fluffy -727-657-5482

What’s shaking everybody? It’s your boy JC hoping that everyone had a wonderful & safe holiday season. I know mine was filled with loved ones, friends & staying close to home. On The morning of December 15th, I found myself traveling north bound on an old road that I’ve traveled my whole life but this time this road would take me on a different kind of ride. A ride with Thoughts of love one’s past. A ride with thoughts of freedom. A ride with pride, strength & honor. A ride for thanks. See, off this old road lies The Florida National Cemetery. A resting place for men and women that served and fought for our beautiful country and a stop for “Wreaths Across America”. Loved ones & Volunteers from all over come out, rain or shine, to remember our fallen US Veterans, honor those who served & to teach our children the value of Freedom. For me though, it was a day to remember my grandfather

and everything he ever taught me. As I placed his wreath upon his niche the emotional roller coaster began. From when he taught me how to shuck an oyster and throw a cast net at the age of 4 to when I was 6 and got to steer our John boat down the Hillsborough river. (Man stuff ). As I sat there with him in the quiet I realized how lucky I really was to be there. Not just because of everyone who fought for us but for everyone who is still fighting for us now. I cannot thank y’all enough for everything you do for our country and its freedom. When it was time to go, I stood up proud, wiping away tears of joy, knowing that my papa was still watching over me and my family. If you missed this beautiful event this year make sure to check their website for other dates or to volunteer. Hope everyone has a wonderful new year.

Cya around Sizzle out!

FROM WALL STREET TO MAIN STREET WALL STREET RIDES Invest Smart | Ride Safe Michelle Osborne www.fromwallstreettomainstreet.com mosborne@capesecurities.com Office: 754-MONEYAM /754-666-3926 Cell 727-459-4875 Office 727-290-2762 HAPPY NEW YEAR At this time of year, we reflect on the previous year’s events and begin to plan for a New Year. If December left you baffled as to where do we go from here, then sound restructuring may be your answer. This year may be your year of retirement, a change in your family situation, complete your estate plan, face a capital gains situation, get a settlement from an accident or create steady income. This may leave you bewildered about what to do about many financial situations. No matter what your situation, taking a helicopter approach and an overall view is your best hedge against any risk. We have certainly seen some great times and a few ugly ones in the markets the last twelve months but remember the rule…buy low sell high. I know the most recent downturn in the markets and in the economy has been affecting the psyche of most people. Just like when you hit the road for a ride, you look at potential good or bad roads along the way. Those potholes or missed roads aren’t fun and can do damage to even the most stable bike or get you lost. It is the same with your money. Always look and be prepared just like you are when you ride. One thing that holds true is pay attention and never over concentrate your money in any one area of anything. You have heard it before…diversify…diversify. That is a lot said unless you are watching the markets like I do all the time. That is why we are here to help you navigate those unfamiliar roads. With economic factors what they are you must pay attention to every detail. Most people either are not in tune with their investment or don’t know all the facts that are entailed with their financial situation. In all the years of advising people about their investments, retirement income, estate structure etc., the one thing that holds true is that I have seen a lot of people make the mistake of letting

46

their emotions control their reactions to volatile markets, tax planning and estate planning. It is critical to get sound third party advice when making any decision about your financial future. This is an economics and consumer sentiment based business. It almost always repeats history when it comes to market and economic moves. The one caveat to that statement is economic facts or unforeseen events that need to be watched closely. Let’s take a look at those. With positive economics, it is usually unforeseen events that cause extreme volatility. First is the tax situation. During the current administration we have enjoyed the lowering of tax brackets by 4% personally and corporations have had their tax liability reduced from 36% down to 21%. That in itself is a very positive move for the economy as a whole, because of reinvesting back in to the monetary cycles. It feeds all that money back in to the economy in the way of corporate expansion and personal spending. The markets have already taken a lot of these factors in to consideration for the upcoming New Year and you can’t help but have a potential outlook of good economics/markets. However you always need to be prepared for the exception. Personal spending is up and oil price per barrel is down. The FMOC has predicted to raise rates approximately .25 basis points 2 quarters. The market has taken these factors in to consideration and financial markets like to know what can be ahead, just like you do. If you were left wondering what was going on the end of 2018 with so much extreme volatility or you have procrastinated doing your overall risk management planning such as creditor or estate protection, then it is more important than ever to get sound advice. Give me a call and let us put our experience to work for you.

I would like to start off by thanking Tony and the Full Throttle family for giving me an opportunity to become part of the FT family. Being part of this family has allowed me to not only work within the biker community, but to learn what being a member of this community means. While many folks think that being a part of this community is being a hooligan troublemaker, or some guy/gal who rides a bike with obnoxious pipes this is truly not what it is all about. Being part of this community is enjoying the road, friends, and giving back to your community. There nothing like hanging out with other bikers at a bike night event, riding together on a poker run, making new friends, and most importantly giving a gift of a smile to an ill or needy child. The biker community shows up in mass numbers when it comes to giving to the children, and if this does not speak for the kind of people bikers are, then I do not know what to say. As exciting as this first year with the Full Throttle crew has

54

been, I cannot wait to see what 2019 has to offer. I am personally looking forward to starting off the new year with the Key West Poker Run. This will be a first-time experience for me. Not only will this start the year off with a bang, Full Throttle will host the Florida Motorcycle Expo February 7-10 at Bert's Barracuda in Clearwater. I would like to thank all of the vendors who have continually supported our Full Throttle events, as well as those who will join us in the new year. We look forward to seeing you at the many bike nights, poker runs, and other events throughout 2019. Lastly, I will leave you with this, "If you find a job that you love, you will never work a day". This is what life is with the Full Throttle family. eRock, OUT!

Denise Markham is more than just a Harley Rider; she is an entrepreneur, business owner, trendsetter, role model and mother to her son Chicken Hawk. Being in love with motorcycles her whole life, Denise started riding 30 years ago. She started out riding dirt bikes and four wheelers. As a teen, Denise was a bit of a Tomboy. She would later challenge some of the best riders in her community in street races. Denise joined MC scene, in 2003, and became known as Baby Girl. As a member of the famed All Female club, Queens Together Motorcycle Club, she traveled around the US on her then custom Suzuki GSXR 1000. During her 11-year tenure with the QT’s she acted in various roles including President, Vice President and Road Captain with a group of amazing women rider philanthropist. Their charitable efforts supported local Battered Women’s Shelter. Baby Girl rocked the MC and Custom Bike scene and slowly began to gain a fan base. Her entrepreneur and charitable spirit led to her opening a group Home for At Risk teens in 2004. Her group homes provided a safe and therapeutic place for teen girls in need. The girls learnt skills such as college prep, life skills, and career planning as well as worked towards achieving their individual therapeutic goals. In 2011, she launched TomBoy Motorsports and Transportation. She worked very hard to build her brand and Businesses.

Intrigued by the evolvement of the custom motorcycle parts, she began customizing her own rides in 2005. Her current ride is a 2009 Ultra Classic that Kory owner of Kory Souza Originals converted into a custom Road Glide in 2017. Denise asked Kory to make sure her custom bagger had a wide end with feminine curves throughout. She trusted Kory’s Team with her vision and they did not disappoint. Big Baby’s metallic gold, pink, purple and chrome style amazed everyone on the MC scene. After a small run in with a soccer mom and her minivan, Big Baby went back into the KSO lab. Big Baby the Remix was reborn and unveiled at the 2018 Daytona Bike Week Baddest Bagger. When asked why she trusted Kory so much, Baby Girl responded “He’s not just my builder; he’s my friend.” While Big Baby the Remix is her pride and joy on two wheels, her biggest accomplishment is her son. Noah aka Chicken Hawk is her 11-year-old son who like his mom loves to the ride. If you were at Daytona Bike Week this year, you may have seen him cruising down Main Street with his Mom and the KSO crew. That’s right, this cool biker Mom purchased and KSO customized a Honda Ruckus for Chicken Hawk. He enjoys the attention he gets from fellow bikers. As if her extensive resume needed any new skill sets, Baby Girl joined the Florida Full Throttle team in December 2018. She will soon be releasing her 2019 itinerary. Stay tuned to Florida Full Throttle for full coverage. You can also follow her on Instagram and Facebook as @BabyGilr_Florida and Twitter as @BabyGirl_FL. I am not sure how she does it all, but I can’t wait to see what she does next!

I will say this, it will be great to have the Full Throttle Family come down to our little slice of paradise and enjoy the winter weather of the Florida Keys and Key West! Of course there are other things do see and do should you choose to stay longer or come back at all in January. The 13th and 27th Higgs Beach is hosting the Key West Artisan Market. Art, food, craft beer, shopping and entertainment. Admission is free! Make sure you stop by The Pickle Baron booth and visit John and Dustin and sample the Wicked Hot Pickles, the 2016 Scovie Award Winner for hottest and spiciest pickles. Also, January 29th is the Second Annual Mile 0 Festival. This new music festivals big shows take place at the new and beautiful Truman Waterfront Park Amphitheatre, with other great bands at various locations at the small theaters and bars around Old Town.
