In Torre del Mar a new British bar has opened its doors, Bar Samba which is located in front of the new library, Calle Duque de Ahumada, 3. Owner, Sam and her Chef Nicky will be serving all your typical English homemade food with some Spanish in there also, from traditional Fish and Chips and Sunday lunches to Prawn Pil Pil. They will be serving food from 09.30am - 8.30pm Wednesday to Sunday. They will also be holding a quiz night every Thursday evening, however bookings are advisable. Do you love to sing? Do you love to listen to people singing? At Song & Beach in El Copo, Torre del Mar you can sing every night of the week Tuesday - Sunday until your heart’s content in this fabulous Karaoke Bar. Song & Beach is a livey bar which gets filled with people of all ages and nationalities and they all have one thing in common, they love a good old sing song. Owners Estefania and Oscar opened Song & Beach just over a year ago and it has been a great success. The bar is completely sound proofed so if you sing badly, don’t worry only those inside can hear you! Maybe you just fancy a late drink with some good entertainment, this is the late bar to be in! It’s great news that we have so many new businesses popping up at the moment. In Alcaucin, Los Naranjos is a new Bar/Restaurant which has opened, situated in Calle de la Fuente. You will find it under the Bank and next to the Post Office. Pop along from as early as 8am for a nice relaxing breakfast on their fabulously large terrace with the most breathtaking views.

Owners Manolo and his partner Hilde speak English so there are no issues there. They are open every day and offer a menu del dia for just 8€, plus they have a BBQ and daily specials too. It’s a great place to relax and unwind at the weekends, every Friday is Flamenco, every Saturday afternoon at noon they have their delicious Paella and on Saturday’s they also offer some live music, all held on the spectacular terrace, it really is worth a visit just to see the terrace and views! If you have a sweet tooth head along to Sweet Belgica, El Copo, Torre del Mar. Newly opened and right next door to Karaoke bar, Song & Beach. Sweet Belgica is run by Sharon and her Mother Helene where they make on-site homemade Belguim waffles, traditional waffles, pancakes and bunuelos. They also serve ice cream and a variety of toppings including Belguim chocolate sauce, fruit and Nutella. It’s a sweet heaven! They also offer a range of alcoholic and soft drinks and have Stella Artois on tap. Currently due to COVID 19 customers can only use the terrace but eventually will be able to make use of the cocktail bar upstairs with wonderful views.
