Mixed Use: Brooklyn, NY: Brooklyn Navy Yard Competition: 75,000 SQ.FT. A mixed use building was designed to attain a LEED rating of gold for the Brooklyn Navy Yard. It includes a roof garden, wind turbines, photovoltaic terra cotta roof tiles, and photovoltaic awning. Emphasis was given to below grade electrical lines, which justified the development of a loading dock for delivery of goods and materials. As Project Architect my responsibilities included design development, preparing RFP documents, reviewing presentation materials, coordinating between sub-consultants, and attending job site meetings.

Residential: Tenafly, NJ: Pool House Sconce The client had a set of wooden reliefs they wanted incorporated into the lighting for the bathrooms of the Pool House. Sconce boxes were designed using eco-friendly resin pieces. The top of the box had slits for heat ventilation and the wood relief was adhered to the front, allowing light to pass through the openings.

Beijing, China - Design 5: Hutong (Neighborhood) Study

Our group assignment in Beijing was to study the Hutongs and provide a design with the 2008 summer Olympics in mind. Our group interviewed and interacted with the residences and various business owners within the Hutong. We designed a landscaping that provided seating, table, and bicycle storage for the residents/patrons of the Hutong to watch the Olympics on T.V., which various businesses within the Hutong would show.
