We are taking a zero-tolerance approach to discrimination in football. We’re calling on clubs and leagues like your own to report hate, prejudice or discrimination whenever you see it or hear it.
For those people who behave in a racist, sexist or homophobic way, the message is clear. Enough is Enough.
When we know it has happened, we can take the actions needed to remove discriminatory behaviour. We'll be doing so through a range of punishments:
• Players will be removed from play and suspended.
• Teams can have points deducted.
• Grounds can be closed for repeat offenders.
Together we can end hate in football.
Spread the word that discrimination of all forms will be punished. Share with your welfare officers, league and club officials, and everyone across your league and clubs.
We want everyone across grassroots football to know...
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. TELL US, WE’LL TACKLE IT.

It was deja vu all over again for Leverstock Green today, as they scored two goals before half time after a slow start, let their opponents back into the game with 20 minutes to play, but held on for a crucial three points, just as they had at Baldock on Thursday night.
Fergus Moore continues to rotate his squad through this demanding schedule, with injuries to Guiseppe Delgaudio and Ryan Carruthers meaning further changes from Thursday’s starting line-up.
Visitors Shefford are at the wrong end of the table but looked marginally the better side in the early stages. Leverstock’s first real attack came in the 17th minute when a cross from Ethan Mooney found Luke Beckwith, but he couldn’t get enough on his header to divert it on target. However, five minutes later the crucial breakthrough came. Nat Connolly won the ball off a defender just outside the box and fed Rawn Seale, who played a pass to put Beckwith through on goal. Beckwith rifled the ball into the roof of the net to put Leverstock into a 1-0 lead.
Two minutes later the lead was doubled, as Gary Connolly floated a superb cross into the box, which could have been finished by any of the three players who were coming in to meet it, but it was George Mitchell-Gears who got the touch to divert it into the net.
Leverstock were comfortably ahead at the break, but once again they did not really get going in the second half. Shefford were seeing more of the ball, and it was no surprise when they pulled a goal back in the 74th minute. Josh Bowler parried away a shot from outside the box, but young substitute Alf Roffey followed up to net the rebound and put his side back in the game. It was a difficult finish to the game, but the closest that Shefford came to equalising was in the 86th minute when Kurtis Alleyne shot over the bar from a good cross. Two minutes into stoppage time Curtis Dibley almost added a third for Leverstock, but the keeper did well to turn it away.
For much of the afternoon it looked like Leverstock might be able to clinch third place and a home playoff tie with a game to spare, but a late winner for Harpenden at Dunstable saw them stay ahead in third place on goal difference. Now Leverstock require a point from Tuesday night’s final league game against Tring to snatch third place and home advantage. Either way it is confirmed that Leverstock will be playing Harpenden in the playoff semi-final on Wednesday 1st May.
Skipper Dan Weeks was playing his 250th game for the club and was rewarded for a fine display by being nominated as Man of the Match.

Leverstock Green had already clinched their place in the playoffs following Tuesday night’s results elsewhere, and they kept the pressure on Harpenden Town in the race for 3rd place and a home playoff semi-final with a 2-1 win at Baldock Town on Thursday night. It was hard work on a very wet night, but two first half goals proved enough for Fergus Moore’s side to take the points.
Leverstock made a slow start to the game, and the home side looked the brighter of the two sides in the early stages, winning a couple of corners. It was a contribution from Rio Beach in the 25th minute that sparked the Green side into left. Beach made a powerful run from his own half, pulling off a pirouette along the way, before being brought down just outside the box for a free kick in a dangerous position. Guiseppe Delgaudio took the kick, and his low shot took a deflection and beat keeper Kian McAdam into the corner of the net.
Luke Beckwith brought a good save out of McAdam in the 32nd minute, hitting a rasping shot which the keeper turned round the post. The second goal arrived in the 40th minute. A pass from Beckwith found Nat Connolly in space some distance from goal, and Connolly cut inside before hitting a shot which flew into the net via a deflection for his first ever goal for the club.
Leverstock made another slow start to the second half, with a cross from Callum Neal which was headed wide by Rawn Seale in the 63rd minute being their only threat of the early stages. Baldock kept on battling and pulled a goal back in the 70th minute from a short corner routine. The player who received the ball was not shut down quick enough, and his ball into the box was turned home by Max Ryan.
Leverstock had chances to extend their lead. In the 76th minute a free kick from Ryan Carruthers was parried away by McAdam. Curtis Dibley looked certain to score from the rebound but could only pull the ball across goal where Rawn Seale also failed to hit the target. In the 83rd minute Seale chased a through ball and got there ahead of McAdam, directing a shot towards the empty net, but it hit the post and went wide.
In the end the single-goal lead was enough to win the game, but not enough to overtake Harpenden in third place. Leverstock trail by two goals but have two games left to Harpenden’s one. Next up is a home game against Shefford Town & Campton on Saturday.
Leverstock Green (2) 2 (Delgaudio 25, Connolly 40)
1. Josh Bowler, 2. Callum Neal, 3. Rio Beach, 4. Paul Marks, 5. Josh Dooley, 6. Ryan Carruthers, 7. Luke Beckwith, 8. Ademide Baruwa (15. Dan Pett 78 mins), 9. Guiseppe Delgaudio (16. Rawn Seale 60 mins), 10. Nat Connolly, 11. Ethan Mooney (12. Curtis Dibley 67 mins). Subs not used: 14. George Mitchell-Gears, 17. Dan Weeks.
Leverstock Green played their fourth game in eight days, and despite the tired legs and a hard, bobbly pitch that was very difficult to play football on, they managed to deliver another crucial three points to bolster their playoff bid. A goal in the first half from Guiseppe Delgaudio was enough to win a scrappy game on a warm afternoon.
Leverstock made a strong start to the game and had a good chance to take the lead in the 2nd minute. A pass from Delgaudio beat a defender and put Callum Neal through on goal, but his shot from a narrow angle was beaten away by home keeper Charlie Turner. Two minutes later a looping header from Rawn Seale bounced off the top of the crossbar.
In the 23rd minute a long throw from Seale found its way to Dan Pett at the far post, but Pett hit his shot wide. Leverstock thought they had taken the lead in the 28th minute when a cross from Nat Connolly was met with a thumping header home from Delgaudio, but it was ruled out for a very debatable offside decision by the assistant referee. However, three minutes later a pass from Seale put Delgaudio through on goal to hit a shot past Turner and finally put Leverstock into an overdue lead.
Leverstock led 1-0 at the end of a half in which they had had the only efforts at goal, and the second half saw even fewer chances. Delgaudio was replaced by Luke Beckwith at half time, but despite a lot of possession and a lot of effort the Leverstock side was unable to create anything until the final minutes of the game, often being undone more by the bobbly pitch than their opponents. Other than one moment where Josh Bowler had to make a save late in the game, the Leverstock goal was never under serious threat.
Three minutes from time Stansted were reduced to ten men when John Clarke went sent off for a second yellow card. The game should have been sealed in the 90th minute when a cross from Beckwith found George Mitchell-Gears with what looked like a sitter at the far post, but the ball bounced up awkwardly off the pitch and he could not get a clean touch on the ball, allowing Turner to save.
Leverstock held on for a win which moves them back up to fourth place, behind Harpenden Town by a single goal. Two more points or any slip-up by Cockfosters in their last five games will ensure a playoff berth. The Green squad now get a welcome few days ‘ break before Thursday’s trip to face Baldock Town.

Craig Ringsell Sports Pitches & Garden Services!KitAid is a charity set up by, Derrick Williams MBE, who visited Tanzania on a WaterAid supporters’ trip in 1998. Derrick, being a mad footie fan, was amazed at the reception he received from children and adults in remote villages just because he was wearing one of his favourite football shirts (he follows Watford, Liverpool and Chesham Utd).
After two weeks in Tanzania, a flame was lit in Derrick’s heart, and he was on a mission to provide kit and equipment to the bare-footed children playing with footballs made of tied string and plastic bags. Twenty-one years on, KitAid has lots of volunteers and to date we’ve sent out 900,000+ kits to children and adults in 55 different countries across the world.
If you’d like to support the KitAid cause, the easiest way to donate your unwanted football kit, in order for us to find it a new home.
Alternatively, if you don’t have any unwanted kit, but would still like to support us, we’re very grateful for any donations which will help to fund our annual costs as well as support other partnership charities where possible.
We thank you for all your support.
In working in some of the most under-privileged countries around the world, The Football Association is no stranger to seeing the impact the donation of something as simple as a shirt or a pair of shorts can make. KitAid has brought an enormous amount of pleasure and enjoyment to young and old alike through the gift of football kit and has shared the spirit of British clubs and the England team with communities in all corners of the globe. We are proud to be associated with KitAid and wish them all the best in their endeavours for the years to come.
Jane Bateman, Head of International Relations, The Football AssociationTring Athletic Youth FC was formed in March 1958 by a group of local men who contributed towards the purchase of 3.4 acres at Miswell Lane. The cost of providing changing rooms, fencing, equipment, and ownership of the ground was approximately £2,000, a lot of money in those days. Committee members, players and friends carried out most of the work, including the building of the changing rooms and during the early days the team had to play on another pitch in Tring. Originally the Club was formed to provide football for youngsters aged under 21 and despite playing against adult teams we won many trophies in the West Herts Saturday League during the early 1960's including the Division 1 title 3 times in 5 years.
We then went through a lean spell and in 1971 decided to scrap the upper age limit and drop youth from our name. Many former players returned, and we had another successful period during the early 1970's. Over the years many fine players appeared in our shirts, and many went on to play for professional/senior clubs.
In the mid-seventies the Miswell Lane ground was sold to the Council, and we had a bad time and but for the efforts of a few loyal members would have certainly folded. The Reserves were disbanded, and the First Team dropped down to Division 3. We decided to turn to youth again and gradually forced our way back up through the league and by 1986 we were competing in the Premier Division and running a Reserve side again.
In 1988 we joined the South Midlands and as a result gained senior status with the Herts FA. In 1989 we entered into a 3-year ground sharing arrangement with Isthmian League side Tring Town moving back to Miswell Lane in 1992 where the Reserves had continued to play. We established ourselves in the South Midlands by gaining promotion to the newly formed Senior Division in 1993. In 1994/95 the First Team reached the final of the Senior Division Cup whilst the Reserves were finalists in the Apsley Junior Cup for the second year running.
In 1996/97 we led the Senior Division throughout the season and looked favourites to win the title. However, some unlucky defeats in the last few games saw us drop down to 3rd place. In addition to our impressive league form we also had some terrific cup runs during that season. In 1997/98 we just missed out on the Senior Division title by the narrowest of margins to New Bradwell St Peter - a goal difference of just 2! We finished the season in fine style, suffering just 1 defeat in our last 21 league games. The Reserves went one better by winning their league by a clear 10 points and in doing so achieved 100% success in their league games at home.
In 1998/99 we picked up our first major South Midlands trophy when we won the Senior Division Cup. We also won the St Marys Cup for the 2nd time in 3 years. In the league a terrific run of just 1 defeat in our last 28 games saw us finish in 3rd place. During this magnificent run we went 15 hours without conceding a goal.
The 1999/2000 season proved to be one to remember. During the summer we spent over £50k on building new changing rooms and extending the social and bar area. To mark the opening of the new changing rooms we played a Watford XI in front of a huge crowd of about 1,000 people. The game was refereed by Graham Poll and Graham Barber. The season turned out to be the most successful in the Club's history. In addition to winning the Senior Division title by 11 points we also reached 5 finals. We won the Herts Charity Shield, Herts Senior Centenary
Trophy, and the Cherry Red Books Trophy in its inaugural year. We were narrowly beaten 1-0 by Letchworth in the Senior Division Cup. Our achievements were recognised by the South Midlands who awarded us the Houghton Regis Cup for achievements in outside competitions and Mick Eldridge, Ray Brimson and Richard Vincent were voted Managers of the Season. In 60 games in all competitions, we lost on only 6 occasions.
After finishing the old millennium in style we continued our success into the new one (2000/01) by retaining the Herts Senior Centenary Trophy and the Cherry Red Books Trophy. The Reserves won the League title, and a newly formed B Team claimed the runners-up spot. The following season (2001/02) we won the Herts Charity Shield for the 2nd time.
SEASON 2002/03 - More success followed as we capture the Herts Senior Centenary Trophy for the 3rd time, to become the first club to do so. We finished 3rd in the table and won the League Cup for the 2nd time, to make 12 major trophies in 7 years. We were also finalists in the Cherry Red Books Trophy. The A Team finished runners up as did the Under 16's in their first season, the B Team won the sporting award for the 2nd year running and the Ladies had a great run in the Women's FA Cup. For the 3rd year running Darrel Bodimeade won an award for the best playing surface, which is just reward for the tremendous job he continues to do for the club.
SEASON 2003/04 - Following our failure to secure floodlights at Miswell Lane we entered into an historic alliance with Tring Town to play our first and reserve team football in season 2004/05 at Pendley where lights were already in place. The main focus was to be to raise the funds needed to build a new Clubhouse, the previous building burnt down in March 2003.
SEASON 2004/05 - New season at a new ground in a new division with fantastic facilities. First team finished 6th in the Premier Division and also won the St Mary's Cup for the 3rd time defeating Hemel Hempstead in the Final. We were also Runners Up in the South Midlands Floodlit Cup Final losing on penalties to Oxhey Jets. Played in the F A Vase for the first time.
SEASON 2005/6 - The Club entered the F A Cup for the 1st time in its history but was defeated in the prelim round. In a disappointing season the highlight was a victory over Watford in the Herts Senior Trophy with a large crowd enjoying a 1-0 win. Defeat in this competition came at the hands of Stevenage Borough of the Conference league.
SEASON 2007/8 - Winners of Herts Charity Shield - We defeated Weylwn Garden City in the final of this County Cup to win the trophy for the 3rd time in our history. This was the first trophy for the new management team of Manager, Phil Casserley, Assistant, Terry Nightingale, and Coach Julian Robinson.
SEASON 2008/9 - Treble Winners - SSMFL Challenge Trophy Winners - Athletic defeated Chalfont St Peter at Harefield United's ground to lift this trophy in their first appearance in the final of this competition. SSMFL Premier Division Cup Winners - Athletic defeated St Margaretsbury to lift this trophy in their first appearance in the final. St Marys Cup Winners - Athletic defeated Leverstock Green to lift this trophy for the 4th time.
SEASON 2009/10 - The First Team finished without a trophy however they finished third in the league, the highest position in the Club's history.
SEASON 2010/11 - The First team finished in the highest position, runners up to Chalfont St Peter in the SSMFL Premier Division. They also won the St. Mary's Cup for the fifth time, defeating Leverstock Green 2-1 after extra time. The season finished with a 2-0 defeat to Royston Town in the South Midland Floodlight Cup Final.
SEASON 2011/12 - Julian Robinson and Tony Armitage took charge in the summer of 2011 knowing that many of
last year’s successful First Team had departed. A great re-building job was undertaken with a very credible 6th position achieved in the league and defeats by the odd goal in 3 cup semi-finals
SEASON 2012/13 - Mixed season with the 1st team winning their initial FA Cup tie at Bedfont and then losing in the next round to Ashford Town after a replay. In the League we finished just below halfway, lost on penalties to Hadley in the semi-final of the Premier Division Cup and were finalists in the St Mary's Cup losing to local rivals Berkhamsted. Midway through the season Tony Armitage left and Ian Richardson stepped up from the Reserves to assist Julian Robinson. Long serving, Stuart Stedman, was appointed coach to assist Colin Phillips with the Reserves who again had an excellent year bringing many players through to the First team.
SEASON 2015/16 - The First Team won the St Mary's Cup for the 5th time defeating Sun Sports and finished midtable in the SSMFL Premier Division. The Reserves did the "double by winning the Suburban Football League North Division and also the Challenge Plate Competition.
SEASO 2016/17: First team won the St Mary's Cup, were finalists in the Herts Charity Shield, 5th position SSMFL Premier Division and reached the 4th round of the F A Vase. Reserves were finalists in the Suburban Football League Challenge Trophy.
SEASON 2017/18: The First Team reached the last 16 of the F A Vase for the first time losing unluckily to Melksham Town in front of a crowd of 1,236. The "A" Team set a Club record winning the West Herts Premier League and Cup double and only losing one game that being the final of the Herts Junior Cup.
SEASON 2018/19: The First Team were Runners Up in SSMFL Premier Division, equalling our best ever position. The Reserves were Suburban Football League Central Division Champions, and the "A" Team were Herts Junior Cup Winners and West Herts Senior Cup Finalists.
SEASON 2019/20. Massive change at the club with long serving manager Kevin Richardson standing down and 14 from the previous year’s successful squad moving on to other clubs. Kevin Christou took over the reins for six months, replaced by Chris Juraszek, who had run our reserve team for several years. Chris’ remit was to return the club to its traditional values of operating prudently and developing local talent, which he did. In a season truncated due to covid we finish second.
SEASON 2020/21. A season decimated due to the covid pandemic, playing in fits and starts and behind closed doors until finally the league took the decision to cancel the competition.
SEASON 2021/22. We began this season with a new management team, headed by Ryan Sturges and Lee Groves, both former players at the Club. The covid pandemic provided us with the opportunity to complete a number of behind-the-scenes projects including installing new floodlights and re-furbishing the clubhouse. We had an understandably slow start to the season on the playing side but kicked on massively from the turn of the year. Our victory in the Premier Division Cup Final was just reward for the players and for the behind the sense group.
SEASON 2022/23. We finish ninth in the league, whilst the highlight of the season was our unprecedented run in the FA Vase competition, losing only narrowly in the fifth round to Bury AFC.
SEASON 2023/24. We have lofty ambitions of a top 5 finish and a shot at the new play off arrangements for promotion to Step 4. We shall see!
Colin Phillips returns to the club to run our U23 side and we show our commitment to you and to pathway football by fielding three U18 sides and one U16 side.

Leverstock Green’s great season continued as they booked a place in the final of the Gladwish Challenge Trophy. A single goal in the first half was enough to win Thursday night’s semi-final against Potton United at the Lords Builders Merchants Stadium. Several of the players who had played at MK Irish on Tuesday night were rested, with Gary Connolly making another appearance at the back alongside George Alfieri, dual-registered with Hadley. Guiseppe Delgaudio returned after completing a three -match suspension.
It was a game of few chances, and the winning goal was scored in the 18th minute. Luke Beckwith played a through ball which was chased by two players. Delgaudio was offside, but left it for Curtis Dibley, who was onside. The flag stayed down as Dibley headed for goal, eventually squaring for Beckwith to finish what he started with a shot from close range.
Leverstock had a big shout for a penalty in the 30th minute as a cross from George Mitchell-Gears clearly struck the arm of a defender, but nothing was given.
The closest that Leverstock came to a second goal was in the 51st minute, as Delgaudio got on the end of a cross with a spectacular overhead effort. Keeper James Hoskins made a good save to turn it away, and Mitchell-Gears was unable to get his effort from the rebound on target.
Towards the end of the game the visitors put a lot of pressure on the Leverstock goal, winning a succession of corners, but Josh Bowler and his defence held firm. Bowler only had to make one save of note, turning a low header round the post in the 87th minute. Potton substitute John Sonuga got on the end of the resulting corner but headed over the bar just seconds after coming off the bench.

Leverstock Green drew for the fourth time in the last five matches against second-placed Milton Keynes Irish on Tuesday night. It was scheduled to be Leverstock’s home match, but due to the Pancake Lane pitch being unplayable at lunchtime, the game was switched to MK’s Manor Fields ground. It was another excellent performance by the Green side, who were only denied the win by some heroics from MK goalkeeper Tom Ladyman.
Leverstock had a good chance to take the lead in the 6th minute, as Rio Beach went on a mazy run before threading a pass to put Rawn Seale through on goal. However, Ladyman produced the first of his great saves to deflect Seale’s shot round the post. MK had the ball in the net in the 22nd minute but the offside flag had already been raised before the goal was scored. Leverstock went close again in the 28th minute as Paul Marks got on the end of a Dan Pett corner but couldn’t keep his header under the bar.
The scoring was opened in the 30th minute, with an element of controversy. Pett won the ball off an MK defender with a challenge that many of their contingent felt was a foul. The referee played on, and Pett played a pass through to Seale, who was denied by Ladyman. However, Radu-Mihai Stefanoaica followed up to curl the ball into the empty net to put Leverstock 1-0 up.
It should have been 2-0 in the 37th minute as Seale was in with another great shooting chance, but his low shot was somehow deflected over the bar by another great save from Ladyman. Instead, the scores were levelled in the 41st minute. MK were awarded a free kick in a dangerous position just outside the box, and Mason Spence’s shot left Josh Bowler standing as it flew into the net.
Luke Beckwith replaced the injured Stefanoaica at half time, and Beckwith also found himself frustrated by Ladyman. Clean through on goal in the 55th minute, Beckwith’s shot was kept out by the keeper’s boot. Two minutes later at the other end Ryan Smith had a good chance but shot wide.
It was Leverstock’s turn to have a free kick just outside the box in the 64th minute, and Pett produced a great effort, but again it was Ladyman who dived to his left to turn it round the post. In the 72nd minute the action was at the other end as Bowler produced a superb save to turn away a shot from Ty Ward.
The game finished with the scores still level at 1-1, and Leverstock have now dropped to 5th in the table below a resurgent Harpenden Town, and probably still require a couple of wins from their remaining four games to seal a play-off spot.

Leverstock Green Development moved up to 8th place in the Herts Senior County League Premier Division, at the expense of opponents Oracle Components. A Jayden Newman goal and an own goal were enough for a 2-1 win on Tuesday night – a tenth win in the last 15 games for Andy Murray’s side.
Leverstock Green Development moved up to 9th place in the Herts Senior County League Premier Division with a 3-1 home win over Baldock Town Reserves on Saturday. The under-18s had a tough task on Thursday night, with several players having already played twice this week against a Tring side that were on the verge of clinching the Corinthian Division title. It proved too much for them as Tring won 4-0 and took the title.
The under-18s were beaten 6-2 at home by Berkhamsted on Monday night. The visitors were 3 -0 up by half time and made it 4-0 before Leverstock pulled two goals back, though Levi Young from the penalty spot, and Kaashan Darr. However, two further late Berko goals ended the Leverstock revival.
The Under-18s were beaten 3-0 at home by neighbours Hemel Hempstead Town in Wednesday night’s SCFYL Corinthian Division game. It was a tough assignment for the side, with several of them having played the previous night for the Development Team.
