A wide range of shapes: diamond, bridge, banana and straight and gradations: 100/180, 150/150 and 180/240 allows to complete the perfect set to meet individual. The files are made with a flexible core covered with abrasive material of highest quality available. They come in a variety of materials including extremely durable MYLAR and ZEBRA sandpaper or PREMIUM quality paper available in nude color, to fulfil the needs of every nail stylist. GRITS The different types of gradations are intended for different uses, so it is important to select the right nail file for the type of nails and purpose. The lower the number, the more coarse the grit. When using files of different gradations, keep in mind to start with a coarser file first and finish with a finer grit file or with a buffer by filing in one direction. In the case of natural nails,remember to be gentle. The higher the gradation, the smoother the file. Extra coarse 80 grit files, are used for acrylic and extended nails. Corse 100 grit is most often used for styling gel-cured nails, most tips and wraps, as well as for shaping free edge of toenails. The medium 150 grit usually used to even out tips and to prepare gel nails before infills. The medium 180 grit files are most often used to prepare nails for further treatments, for taking the length down and shaping the free edge of natural and enhanced nails. Fine 240 grit files are best for removing small bumps, ridges and stains from natural nails, smoothing nail surface and shortening delicate, soft nails.
<80 – Extra Coarse. Best for nail extensions or to be used to work on hard and thick acrylic or gel surfaces, also for product removal and reducing the length of extra long nails. Can be used to smooth the sharp edges of other files. Do not use on natural nails.
100 – Coarse. Intended to be used to shorten and shape the free edge of enhanced and extended nails, prepare the regrowth for infills and reducing the length of toenails. To be used on enhanced nails only.
150 – Medium. Ideal for leveling the place of joining the natural nail plate with the tip and when taking the length down. Suitable for styling enhanced or extended nails. Most often used to prepare the regrowth for infills.
180 – Medium. Best for taking the length down and shaping the free edge of natural nails. Also used for preparing natural nails for further treatments and final shaping of enhanced nails. The lowest grit that can be used on natural nails if they are not brittle.
240> – Fine. Ideal for filing brittle, delicate natural nails. Best for removing small bumps, ridges and stains from natural nails and also good for shaping and smoothing all nail surfaces as well as the free edges of natural nails. Finest grit that can be used on natural, soft nails.
