DRESS CODE

GAME DAY INFORMATION

ROUND 3: SATURDAY, 15 FEBRUARY 2025

• Travel/Arrival: First VI to arrive in Full Blazer Dress. All other players can arrive/travel in their School tracksuit or multi-purpose playing shorts with TGS training shirt. Please note, sneakers must be worn. Boys are not permitted to wear slides, thongs, crocs, deck shoes etc.

• Warm Up/Game: Normal volleyball uniform requirements for players during games. Volleyball shorts (multi-purpose playing short) must be worn, PE Shorts are not acceptable. Note: TGS socks must be worn and non-marking footwear. Playing jerseys will be provided to you at the game.

• Spectators:

• For Saturday sport, any boys arriving on campus, both Home and Away, must be in School uniform, including spectators.

• Spectators or players wishing to watch the First VI can be in their Golds uniform or training uniform. Boys are not permitted to wear slides, thongs, crocs, deck shoes etc. Only sneakers are allowed to be worn by players and spectators.

Teams at TGS

A canteen will be available on the day at Glen McCracken Sports Centre.

Teams at Brisbane Grammar School

CANTEEN AND REFRESHMENTS

A canteen will be available on the day at the Brisbane Grammar Indoor Sports Complex. No canteen will be available at Brisbane Girls’ Grammar School.

Teams at Gregory Terrace

A BBQ will be on available at the Campbell Centre at St Joseph’s College Gregory Terrace.

All TGS Volleyball Buses will depart from, and return to, the Margaret Street Loop. Boys are to arrive 15 minutes before their departure time. Please see below Bus Masters for each Bus:

• Bus travel will be compulsory for all boys for Term 1.

• Boys are not permitted to drive themselves or others to fixtures.

• Boys can return to Toowoomba with their parents/guardians after their game; however, they MUST advise their Bus Master before departure.

Boarders playing at Home will have meals as per normal Dining Hall hours.

Medical attention will be available throughout the day at all playing venues.

Please be advised that parking for TGS Volleyball Fixtures is on side streets adjacent to the school or via Entrance 1 or Entrance 2. Parking in the Aquatic Centre Car Park, Entrance 3, is reserved for Aquatic Centre Patrons only.

BGS School Policy

• No alcohol is to be consumed at this event.

• No smoking; Brisbane Grammar School and Brisbane Girls Grammar School are a non-smoking campuses.

• No pets allowed.

• Service/companion animals specifically trained to aid a person with a disability are welcome. Due to WPHS, owners will be asked to supply documentation as proof, and the animal should be easily identified by wearing the jacket or bandana denoting the classification.

• BGS - Brisbane Grammar Indoor Sports Centre (BGS ISC) is #26 on the BGS Map. BGS ISC is only accessible via Old Boys’ Bridge, #25 on the map.

• BGGS - Brisbane Girls’ Grammar School is walking distance from the BGS drop off. Location of BGGS Indoor Courts is in the top right hand corner of the BGS map.

• GT - The Campbell Centre is #13 and Waterford Place is #23 on the GT Map.

HOME GAME ARRANGEMENTS

GPS VOLLEYBALL

BGS GENERAL INFORMATION

A map is available below to assist visitors in locating courts. This includes entry and exit traffic flows, and toilet facilities.

Parking

Parking is in the visitor parking area off College Road (External STEAM) or via Kallinga Avenue.

Buses – Student drop off zone is along Gregory Terrace (number 34 on map).

Visitors Change Rooms

Visiting Schools Change Rooms: are located along level 3 (entry level) on the left.

Toilet Facilities

Male and Female Public facilities are located along level 3 (entry level) on the left. Players toilet facilities are located along level 3 (entry level) on the left.

Coaches

Coaches are required to avoid ‘walking the sideline’ and keep reserves and own school’s spectators in designated areas.

Spectating

Designated areas are labelled as BGS or Visitors. Please remain in this space. Designated spectator areas are assigned to each team.

Medical Attention

Sports Medicine is in the ISC and at BGGS courts and will be on location throughout the day.

Court Access

The GPS Association prohibits spectators from entering the playing area before, during and immediately after a game.

Photography, Videography, and Image Collection

Brisbane Grammar School requests that parents, legal guardians, caregivers, students and invited guests who photograph, film or record school activities, only do so for their own and appropriate personal use and do not publish the images in any form, including on social media, without the prior consent of persons whose children also appear in the images. The School does not own or control any images of students taken by parents; legal guardians, caregivers, students or their invited guests at school activities such as GPS Fixtures and Championships. Brisbane Grammar School identifies the protection and safety of children as an area of highest priority. The School has been formally recognised for successfully meeting the Safeguarding Children standards and committing itself as an organisation to the protection of children. The School has also been certified by the Australian Childhood Foundation in relation to its culture, processes and policies for safeguarding children. Brisbane Grammar School will use images of its students reasonably, appropriately, and sensitively, consistent with our obligations under the Child Safe Standards. If a parent or legal guardian or student is concerned about the use of any images, they should contact the School directly.

Post-Match Functions

This will occur with the 1st’s players, coaches and parents requested to attend the Nothling room 15 minutes after the fixture. The presentation will last approximately 15 mins and involve light refreshments for the 1st team, staff and parents.

In the event of an emergency, contact first aid personnel who will then contact the Game Day Office.
