REPRESENTATIVE FOOTBALL/FUTSAL
TGS Football fully supports the inclusion of all boys into the Darling Downs representative system. All parents and boys are encouraged to test their ability by nominating to trial for DD selections in both Football and Futsal.
Representative Football
Boys 10-12 years can be selected to represent Darling Downs at the Queensland School Sport State Football Championships. Boys must first be selected by the Head of Football at TGS to go forward to the TSSS trials. These trials are usually restricted to six boys per school. Following TSSS Trials, a Toowoomba Zone team is selected to participate in the Darling Downs Trial. At the Darling Downs Trial, one team will be selected to represent the Darling Downs School District at the Queensland School Sport State Championships.
Older boys, 13-15 years & 16-19 years will attend a single Darling Downs Trial day where they are selected against their peers from across the DD region. This year the Queensland School Sport State Football Championships will take place from Sunday, 27 April to Wednesday, 30 April for boys aged 13-15 years & 16-19 years. Boys aged 10-12 years have their championships from Thursday, 31 July to Sunday, 3 August.
Representative Futsal
Boys from 10-12 years, 13-15 years & 16-19 years can be selected to represent Darling Downs at the Queensland School Sports State Futsal Championships. Boys must first be selected by the Head of Football at TGS to go forward to the Darling Downs Trials. The trials are usually restricted to six boys per school. Following the completion of Darling Downs Trials, teams and boys are selected to represent the Darling Downs School District at the Queensland School Sport State Futsal Championships.
