rants for college are awarded by government, business and by private organizations. They provide grants for many reasons. It's not simply an act of kindness to help a young student with college costs. Grants are provided as an investment in the future of our society. By helping those who have displayed the talents and skills but maybe lacking in the finances to develop those talents, we are making an investment in the future. What Grants Are Available to Me?

You can find a college grant to serve just about any purpose. There are even what may seem to most of us, grants for frivolous degrees, but they do exist. There is even a grant for left handed students! But we’ll focus in this article on the more serious grants. Pell Grant: The Pell Grant is the most common and well known grant. If you need financial help to go to college, a Pell Grant is probably the first grant you should check out. Minority Grants: Do you belong to a minority group? Before you answer too quickly, you may, and not even know it. Minority status can include much

more that racial or ethnic minorities. Minority grants are offered by government as well as businesses and even private organizations. If you are a woman, you may qualify for a minority grant regardless of your race or ethnicity. It’s well worth looking into even if you don’t think you qualify. You may be surprised

Business School Grants: Thinking about a career in business but not sure if you’ll be able to afford the high cost of college? If so, you should look into the grants that are available for business. They are available from both the government and the private sector. Some are very industry specific, so you’ll want to do your homework.
