Designer Puts Your Plan into Action

Christy Maser has been in the residential-building world--in some capacity--for more than 8 years; for the last 3 years, she has been working almost exclusively with Prestige Builders. She helps clients choose layout designs, determining decisions for interior and exterior materials and staging their new or remodeled home to their liking.

From start to fi nish, Christy can help Prestige Builders clients make all of their design selections for their project, including all interior and exterior fi nishes. Christy’s business has taken off, in part due to Covid. “Homeowners are looking to freshen up their spaces. They have been stuck inside their homes and are ready for change, “ Christy says, and then she helps them reimagine their space.

Since many are working from home, Christy is seeing the trend of creating multifunctional and repurposed rooms. In terms of design, Modern Farmhouse isn’t going anywhere; customers are asking for a light, wide-plank fl ooring, neutrals and natural textures. Clients love bright white walls with matching trim and natural-fi bered, layered textures. Christy likes to mix old and new, by repurposing old antiques and adding new pieces. “It feels like a design that’s evolved over time,” Christy says.

If a new client has a renovation project, Christy fi rst meets them for an initial consultation to see how the client’s family functions and what they like and don’t like about the space. Christy will identify the family’s budget and needs and then put a design plan together with next steps. Christy helps the customer select and pull together their chosen designs and implements them based on a set schedule and then puts the “plan into action,” she says.

Introducing “Neutz Custom Homes”

With the motto “Your home is where your heart is,” Neutz Custom Homes is doing big things. “We began flipping houses with members of our family in 2016,” says Lauren Neutz, who founded the company with her husband, Robby. “Our friends and family loved the quality work we were doing and started asking us to remodel their kitchens and bathrooms. So we became licensed and insured and started remodeling for clients. In 2020, we built our first new construction custom home from the ground up. It has been exciting for us to start from scratch, rather than demolishing and accommodating an existing space.”

To reflect their expanding skills and talents, the Neutzs have rebranded from Neutz Flipz to Neutz Custom Homes to better encompass all of the services they have to offer. “Whether we are flipping a house, remodeling a house, or building a house, we are always customizing homes,” Lauren says. “By following our passion, we’ve found a wonderfully growing business. We couldn’t be happier.”
