Spectacular Sights on Holiday Nights are back… and like

you have never seen before!

The Southern Lights Holiday Festival presented by Friends of Coal is a three-mile driving tour through brilliant holiday lights. Celebrating its 28th year, Southern Lights is a magical holiday tradition for thousands of families throughout the Bluegrass – and beyond. Named one of Kentucky’s Top 10 Winter/Holiday Festivals and Events by Kentucky Travel and Tourism, Southern Lights is a joy for guests of all ages. See over a million twinkling lights from the safety of your car. With fabulous themed displays, there’s a surprise around every turn. At the end of the route, you are invited to park and explore the Holiday Village (included in admission). Enjoy photos with Santa, Animal Land, Santa’s North Pole Mailbox (where children can drop off their Christmas List), Mini Train rides, the Bluegrass Miniature Train Display and the Kentucky Horse Park Gift Shop. To complete your festive visit, grab a quick snack or sit down for dinner at Tootie’s Peppermint Café. Hurry… Santa’s last night in the Holiday Village is December 23rd before he heads back to the North Pole!

Drive through the lights nightly through December 31st (closed Christmas Eve) from 5:30-10pm. Tickets are $25 per carload and are available online at southernlightsky.com. Visit the website to learn more about the attractions and to get directions to the Kentucky Horse Park Campground Entrance, where the route begins! Have more questions? Call: (833) 595-4448.
