But beyond an ability to deliver on time and instill trust in its partners, Longship is succeeding thanks to Garland’s own dedication to fairness and diligence. Though he lost his father at a young age, he passed on the value of honesty which Garland continues to practice today.

“Most of all issues, whether they be customer facing or internal, can be mitigated with upfront, honest answers,” Garland said. “I see it time and time again, where an issue is left open in hopes that it will one day go away, but it’s just not going to happen.
