PRO to Know: Kevin Colvin, General Manager | Cornerstone Kitchen & Bath
With an understanding that the kitchen is the heart of the home and the bath is the start of every great day, the Cornerstone Kitchen & Bath team design and install superior quality cabinetry, countertops, hardware, and more to fi t any budget. General Manager Kevin Colvin helps guide the customer experience from the design phase to project completion, working with the best designers to provide top-notch service.
“Our customer service experience is one of our leading assets,” says Cornerstone Kitchen & Bath Co-Owner Jeremy Curran. “There are lots of other cabinetry providers out there, but we pride ourselves on the entire design experience from start to fi nish. Our designers start the process of listening to the homeowner’s wants, needs, and specifi c utilization of the space being considered for remodeling. Then they custom design a space that fi ts those specifi c needs. We make sure they stay involved all the way through installation and that each and every member of our team is hands-on during the entire project.” Kevin Colvin is, in many ways, the cornerstone of the Cornerstone Kitchen & Bath experience. He worked with Jeremy in event management for many years before Cornerstone’s inception in 2015. But along with his extensive customer service and management experience, Colvin brings a passion for woodworking and practical skills to the table.”I grew up watching my dad, who was a custom woodworker/cabinetmaker, create projects with just some measurements and an idea in his head. I have always had a passion for building unique things.” Colvin believes Cornerstone Kitchen & Bath is the perfect niche for him.
Naturally, Colvin’s personal customer service and leadership philosophies align with those of Cornerstone owners Amy and Jeremy Curran. “I always work to complete each project with the client’s satisfaction in mind. While in these times, it may take some extra time to get what is needed, I have never left a project incomplete and always strive to exceed expectations with communication and follow-through to the best of my ability.”
Teaming up with Cornerstone Kitchen & Bath designers means staying current with local kitchen and bath trends and larger-market and future trends that might eventually catch on in the Louisville area. “Over the past few years, we have seen more of a modern European open-concept look desired by customers. Larger markets are trending toward a clean, natural look with lots of stained wood in cabinetry for kitchens and baths, quartz backsplash in kitchens, and fl oating shelves are defi nitely trending.” Excited about his future with Cornerstone Kitchen & Bath, a highly successful local company, Colvin appreciates the day-to-day building of the business. “Every single project is different, so every day is different. I just really enjoy making customers happy about their decision to choose Cornerstone.” Colvin and the Currans agree – if you are considering a project, get started with them as soon as possible. According to Jeremy, “With increased lead times and no real end in sight to that changing, now is the time to start planning if you have a project in mind that you want to complete before the end of the year.” For more information, visit cornerstonekb.com.
