Offering a loving environment that is safe and educational, Walnut Hill Day School has been giving students the chance to achieve their individual potential since 1986. Through Spanish language, music, physical education, piano lessons and summer camps, the program goes beyond its core curriculum to give students from age two through kindergarten the chance to explore their interests.

“We are dedicated to providing the best education for our students and helping them develop physically, socially, emotionally and cognitively,” explained director and owner Bobbi Todd. “We offer a nurturing environment that provides academic skills that give children the foundation upon which to build their future education.”

And it isn’t just this well-rounded approach to the student experience that sets Walnut Hill Day School apart. It has a remarkable international representation among its student body, with children hailing from Azerbaijan, Japan, India, Jordan, Sri Lanka, Venezuela, Syria and other far flung locations all bringing their own unique perspectives to the benefit of their classmates.

“There are several additional factors that set us apart as well,” Todd said. “For one, our amazing teachers — many of them have advanced credentials and all of them share the love of teaching. We have several teachers who have been here for over 20 years. Another would be our families — we owe a lot to our wonderful families, and their support means more to us than they can possibly imagine. And lastly, I would add our location! We are situated just minutes from Man O’ War and overlook prestigious Juddmonte Farms. The bucolic setting and serene location provide a perfect venue for the school’s island of excellence.”

When it comes to considerations for the future, Walnut Hill is clearly poised to grow, as it has always been built on the concept that its work is just as important for tomorrow as it is for today.

“In our industry, the children come first and they are our future and the reason why we come to school each day,” Todd said. “We want our students to leave our school fully prepared for their next educational journey.”

Finally, Walnut Hill’s place in our community ensures that both this school and its students will continue to achieve the best.
