Central Kentucky native Aaron White spent many hours in his youth working construction at his family’s construction business. What followed was 18+ years working around the globe within the technology industry while focusing on software and engineering management. The intersection between his early years of hands-on labor and advanced software technology experience led him to Walk Thru Plans.

What is Walk Thru Plans?

Walk Thru Plans focuses on providing services that allow clients to physically walk through their plans on a 1 to 1 scale while making changes in real-time with their architect, builder, or designer of choice. This cuttingedge projection technology uses the proposed floor plans to “project” the image on the floor and adjacent walls of the company’s 9000 sq. ft. studio. This allows clients to get a true-to-scale representation of the space they want to create. Staged furniture and walls can be adjusted so that they can see and understand exactly how much space they have while experiencing the true flow of the room or space BEFORE it is built. Additionally, if clients want to fully immerse themselves, AR/VR support can be included using VR headsets.

What is the mission/philosophy behind the business?

As a proud central Kentuckian, Aaron wanted to build a new home for his young growing family. As with most families, this was the largest financial investment they will make. Planning the design from a small blueprint was stressful, and simply looking at mock-ups didn’t give him a true sense of how it would all come together. This is when the concept clicked as he thought “What if I could walk through these floorplans in a real-life scale?”. Aaron’s grandfather left a powerful impact on his life and his drive to succeed in business. “If you rest, you rust” he states. With their technology and studio experience running less than $1000 depending on the package, it often costs much less than 1% of the building cost of a kitchen remodel, pool, or large landscape installation.
