Best Way to Prepare Mutton Curry

Introduction Be it a family gathering or some festival, and I can't think of a celebration without great food. And it brings water in my mouth when I think about the Mutton Curry cooked by my mom. Today, I'll share a simplified version of it which you can try quickly. Mutton has a greater nutritional value than other red meats like pork, beef, and leaner than both. It is jam-packed with higher amounts of protein, vitamin B, iron, zinc and has a low content of calories and fats. And this traditional recipe keeps the nutritional values on the spot. So don't feel guilty if you're on a diet. It’s okay to have some mutton today. Easy Mutton Curry recipe: you'll crave for it To make this lip-smacking curry, you'll need the following ingredients. Fresh Mutton (1 kg) Ghee /Oil (2-3 tbsp) Finely Chopped Onions (4-5 small size) Tomato Pureed (1 medium size) Finely Chopped Garlic Cloves (10-12) Grated Ginger (1-inch slice) Halved Green Chillies (2-3) In spices, take whole dry spices: Cumin seeds (1 tsp), Fennel seeds (1/2 tsp), Green Cardamom (4-5 pods), 1 Cinnamon stick, 3-4 cloves, 1 Bay leaf, 1/2 tsp Coriander seeds, Black Pepper pods (45). 9. Some other regular spices include Red Chilli powder (1 tsp), Turmeric powder (1 tsp), Mutton curry powder ( 2 tbsp), Kasoori Methi (1 tsp), Garam Masala (1/2 tsp), and add salt as per taste. Preparation Method : To make this Mutton Curry Cut, add oil/ghee to a pan, add bay leaf and rest of the solid spices to the pan and then saute for 3-4 minutes. Add pureed tomato, ginger, garlic and chopped onion, saute well till those turn nice golden. Add Mirchi and mix well to make a paste. Now, add mutton and mix properly with the paste. In a pressure cooker, add ½ cup of water, and pressure cooks the mutton for 30 minutes on low flame. Open the cooker, add halved green chillies, salt and the rest of the powdered spices, mix well. Add 1½ - 2 cups of water and pressure cook for another 30 mins in low


heat. Finally, open the cooker with a fork, pierce and slightly pull apart the mutton. If it comes off, it has been cooked properly. Finally, garnish it nicely with ginger julienne, slit green chillies and fresh coriander leaves. And Congrats! Your delicious spicy Indian Mutton Curry is ready to devour.
