In 2021, 28% (1 279 out of 4 622) of Sibanya-Stillwater's recruits were female; with 31% female board representation; 40% (38 out of a total of 96) of the Company's bursars were female, and 21% (522 of 2498 total promotions) of staff promoted within the Company were female. In March 2022, the Group also promoted the first two female Executive Vice Presidents (EVPs), both internal promotions from the senior management ranks.
About 20% of the Company's ZAR23.4 billion discretionary procurement spend was sourced from women-owned businesses, many of which have benefited from the training and enterprise and supplier development (ESD) funding.
