ANC VS
by Toppoint
ANC stands for Active Noise Cancelling which is a technology present in some headphones and earbuds that dampens disturbing ambient noise. This noise blocker is produced by capturing the surrounding sound through the built-in microphones in the headphones or earbuds. The sound then gets analyzed and twisted so that the person wearing the audio devise hears less ambient noise. This prevents the need to turn up the volume to compensate for background noise which is better for your hearing.
ENC stands for Environmental Noise Cancelling which is a different technology found in some headphones and earbuds that come with a microphone function. Background noise is suppressed by recording the sounds in the environment and then process them to create a opposite cancelling sound which will neutralize the noise. This way the speaker’s voice will be heard clearly over the background noise.
