9. Strategy

Through working on the street’s main problems, we will try to enhance: Imageability, accessibility, continuity & flexibility feelings, in order to make for a better experience living in the area.

10. Proposal

The median of Oraby Street is found to have great potential in terms of dimensions, and location. This project aims to enhance the overall performance of Oraby’s Street, through developing the area’s median, and allocating it for economic, and leisure activities that would benefit the area’s residents. In addition, two land parcels will be allocated as parking space, and a recycling plant for the area residents. This project aims for better allocation of resources, in which case are the median and 2 land parcels, to serve the residents’ needs The median will be elevated at least 15 cm, and divided into 3 main parts: Playing courts (14x25m), local market (14x150m), and a social/recreational (14x200m) area where seatings, public toilets, will be installed, and food kiosks will be available.
