Ice cream cures all things. Futile as it may sound, it is true. Everyone is different, but we all have one thing in common. That one thing is food, and the best of them all is ice cream. In many romantic comedies shown today, women get their heart broken in some way, and therefore, need to find some way to cope. You will find most of the time, they eat their feelings. In many cases, their feelings are ice cream. They sit in front of the television and sulk, watching Casanova or Titanic, crying their eyes out, and eating out of the half gallon of ice cream with a spoon (which sometimes is so large it looks to be more like a shovel). But notice, ladies and gents, by the end of the movie, she gets what she wants, does she not? The gorgeous celeb icon bows at her feet and surprises her with dozens of roses and the movie ends as the two kiss. Ahhhh. Or she triumphs above the loser guy, proves everyone wrong and gets that awesome promotion and a new guy! And who doesn’t just love a good ending? Take for example your best friend takes your boy friend from you. What you want to do is murder her, your now-ex-boyfriend, and everyone on the planet. However, the healthier solution would be to grab that half gallon, a box of tissues, a shovel-spoon, and the most romantically sad movie ever, and mope. Well why not? The only harm your doing is to your digestive system, and that’s why they make Pepto Bismol. It gives you time for reflection. Before you know it, you’ll be on your feet again in no time!
It also gives you motivation. Once the movie(s) finally finish, or you run out of ice cream, you will eventually have to get up and go to the bathroom or somehow bump into a mirror. By then, you’re in revenge mode. By looking at your awful reflection you decide, “I’m going to better myself!” and it will happen! Whatever the flavor, coffee, mint, cookie dough, or just plain chocolate, ice cream can be your friend in times of need.
