A BEAUTIFUL GARDEN OASIS IN THE CITY The Toronto Botanical Garden is a volunteer-driven charity dedicated to disseminating horticultural and gardening information. With magnificent views of our 17 award-winning themed gardens and the ever changing seasonal canvas the Toronto Botanical Garden provides an exceptional natural setting for any event. The George and Kathy Dembroski Centre for Horticulture, renovated in 2005, won a Toronto Green Award and received a silver-rated LEED Certification (Leadership in Energy and Design). The building exhibits an impressive 5,000 square foot glass pavilion, topped with a sloping green roof which helps reduce heating and cooling costs and manages storm water runoff. The numerous halls and studios with adjoining open-air courtyards in this building are ideally suited for weddings, business meetings and other private functions.

The Floral Hall is the largest space available. The auditorium features a soaring 20-foot ceiling with a series of skylights, beautiful stacked stone walls, and stage with a podium and LCD projector with screen and a private change room /greenroom. On the south wall two sets of French doors open onto the private courtyard. The Floral Hall Courtyard is a beautiful secluded space with natural stone, etched glass, live foliage and a stunning water curtain feature. Fragrant shrubs and white flowering perennials make this elegant area ideally suited for any occasion.

The Garden Hall is ideal for intimate functions. The space features a large floral inspired light fixture and textured white walls and is accompanied with a dedicated kitchen, washrooms and a large vestibule to blur the lines between indoors and outdoors. The Garden Hall Patio is the adjoining courtyard that serves as a natural amphitheatre for outdoor gatherings. It is surrounded by gardens and an arching water channel and waterfall. The trees, shrubs and perennials in this garden display year round colour, interesting texture, form and fragrance and boasts an elevated performance and presentation platform built into the natural landscape.

The Westview Terrace on its own is a beautiful spot for small outdoor gatherings or can be added to the Garden Hall & Patio rentals to create the perfect outdoor space for your own private garden gala. The additional 120 person standing space doubles the area of the Garden Hall Patio and gives two distinct gathering areas divided by a waterfall and channel and surrounded by Japanese maples.
The Perennial Border is the perfect outdoor garden space for ceremonies and small receptions. This 60’ x 20’ area is surrounded by ever changing flowers and lush garden is easily accessed from the parking lot for grand entrances. *Please note* This area does not offer a backup rain plan but can be tented and floored.

A representative of the Toronto Botanical Garden will be assigned as your main point of contact for the day-of your event. This representative is mandatory to ensure that your event runs smoothly and is already included for events running between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday. Any event hours during the evenings or weekends will be charged at a rate of $40 per hour on the final invoice once timing is confirmed. They will be there to assist you with whatever it is that you need and to assist your vendors for loading in and out of the space. They will coordinate with the caterer and staff to make sure that everything is running as efficiently as possible.
At the Toronto Botanical Garden you have the option to purchase Bar Packages through any of the exclusive caterers, or you can obtain your own Special Occasions Permit and alcohol through the AGCO and the alcohol is accompanied by a purchase receipt. We charge a nominal surcharge of $10.00 per adult when you decide to bring your own bottles. Please note that glassware is not included and would need to be rented from Chair-man Mills, we are more than happy to assist with getting an estimate once you confirm what you will be suppling for you and your guests to enjoy for the event.
SERVICE STAFF & BARTENDERS All service staff and bartenders must be provided and charged by the chosen caterer.
SECURITY Depending on the specific size and nature of your event a Toronto Botanical Garden representative may hire security personnel for the safety of your guests. Security guards are charged a flat rate of $250 per guard plus HST.
TABLEWARE The Toronto Botanical Garden works exclusively with leading food and beverage rental supplier Chair-man Mills. The selected caterer will be responsible for ordering the dishware and flatware required for your event based on the guest count and the style of food service. The selected caterer will coordinate delivery and pick up times with the Logistics Coordinator.

PARKING The Toronto Botanical Garden has over 300 parking spots that are available on a first come first serve basis and are free to TBG Members; non-members pay $2.50 per hour. For Corporate and Business clients renting the Floral Hall or the Garden Hall, we offer discounted daily flat rates of $5 per vehicle that can be charged to either the hosts or the guests.
EVENT EXTENSION Bar and rental services end at 1:00 a.m. If you are interested in extending your event end times to 2:00 a.m., it will be charged a flat fee of $250.
