EVENT AGENDA

HARRY JONGERDEN Executive Director

Welcome to Toronto Botanical Garden’s 7th annual Woman to Woman event. Nature delights us with colour each spring, and there’s a famous caution against trying to improve it by “gilding the lily and painting the rose”, but our W2W participants, in your bedazzling finery, do a brilliant job of complementing nature. Here at TBG, there’s a vibrant community of volunteers and staff dedicated to bringing out the finest in nature. We hope that you will find, in the beauty of our garden, nourishment for the eye and for the soul. Thank you for joining us in a celebration of the finest things in life in the most fitting location for that – a garden. Thank you as well to our sponsors and donors, and to the brilliant work of the committee of TBG volunteers and staff who nurture this event. We hope you’ll enjoy yourselves, and enjoy yourselves all the more because you know that Woman to Woman proceeds support our mission of “connecting people to plants, inspiring us to live in harmony with nature”.

ABOUT TORONTO BOTANICAL GARDEN The gardens are designed to educate and inspire, spanning four acres beside Toronto’s Don Valley Ravine. Admission to the gardens is free. Indoor and outdoor learning experiences are available for all ages, including courses, garden tours and nature camps. During the summer enjoy dining at the garden café, a Thursday organic farmers’ market, free guided tours and a free outdoor music series.
