schools that are determining how best to use the new knowledge of various educators in leadership roles and programs this year, we have outlined the competencies that educators will gain in new leadership programs and roles and some possible ways that school leaders might engage these teacher leaders to build their expertise and move the instructional work forward at the school. The guidance below is merely meant to generate ideas. We encourage school leaders to talk with participating staff to determine an approach that best fits the context of their school and the leadership development of their staff.
