MOBILE BRAKE TESTER

The mobile brake tester’s design is simple yet strong and flexible. Our standard model can test up to 16,000 kg axle load. For heavier axle loads, an upgraded version that can test up to 20,000 kg is also available, which is perfect for commercial brake testing.

The DVSA-approved mobile brake tester can be supplied with a range of features, giving a high level of customisation to meet your specific workshop requirements.

TEC SERVICE STATIONS - UNIQUE FEATURES

8-point rubber mount fixing for the weighing scale

The refrigerant is located on an 8-point fixing scale plate. The rubber mountings act as shock absorbers to give accuracy from the 60 kg weighing scale and reduce any possibility of calibration drift. A locking facility for the refrigerant scale is fitted as standard. The lock can be applied when the service station needs to be transported.

To maintain a high level of accuracy, the condenser inside the service station has been located on the scale with the refrigerant tank. The reason for this is to measure all the recovered refrigerant from the vehicle as accurately as possible. This is another unique feature of the Evo–Tec service stations.

Heater Belt – New Design

A new design of the heater belt is another unique feature of the Evo–Tec service stations. Other manufacturers will fit a heater belt to the refrigerant tank and apply heat to a temperature of approximately 35 degrees during the vacuum stage only. The Evo–Tec stations use new electronic technology whereby during the vacuum process of 20 – 30 minutes the tank temperature rises to 33 degrees then during the charging process the temperature increases again to 45 degrees. This will ensure a fast charge of refrigerant to the vehicle air conditioning system.

Reverse action vacuum pump

We have changed the vacuum process of the Evo–Tec service stations. This is different to other machines in the marketplace. We now start the vacuum pump with a 10-minute timed cycle applied to the air conditioning system. A vacuum reading of -1.0 Bar is achieved. The vacuum pump then runs in the opposite direction applying a 5-bar positive pressure to the air conditioning system. This will take approximately 10 seconds after which the vacuum pump returns to the negative pressure of -1.0 Bar to complete the cycle. In doing so we can pressure test with both positive and negative pressures to the system to eliminate the possibility of a system leak.

Oil / Dye Injection System for Standard / Hybrid and Electric Vehicles

The Evo–Tec service stations have been designed to use a non - conductible oil and ultraviolet dye. Cooling Edge have been using a POE Oil for several years with a great deal of success. This means we can use one oil and UV dye for both R134A and R1234YF systems and not have the worry whether the vehicle is hybrid, electric or stop/start in its design.

The oil and dye is supplied in a bag system which is exclusive to Cooling Edge. The 500ml bag has the capacity to lubricate approximately 25 vehicles. Most other machines in the marketplace will have a capacity of 230 – 250 ml bottles. The reorder code for the oil and dye bag is displayed in the service station menu.

Pressure Gauges and Diagnostic Guides

Large 100mm, pulse free pressures gauges make it easy for the operator to identify the working pressure of the air conditioning system. Most other service stations use up to 80mm as a standard size for the pressure gauges. With the addition of the diagnostic guides on the pressure gauges this will help the operator to diagnose pressure related problems such as blockages, excessive pressure or lack of refrigerant within the air conditioning system.
