Foods to avoid

For health and wellbeing there are certain foods that should be kept to a minimum and they include:

Trans Fats:

Worst Choice: Processed foods, baked goods, and fried foods containing partially hydrogenated oils.

Why: Trans fats raise bad cholesterol (LDL) levels and lower good cholesterol (HDL), increasing the risk of heart disease.

Alternative: Choose foods with healthy fats, like avocados, nuts, seeds, and olive oil.

Saturated Fats:

Worst Choice: Fatty cuts of red meat, full-fat dairy products, and certain processed foods.

Why: High intake of saturated fats can raise cholesterol levels, leading to a higher risk of heart disease.

Alternative: Opt for lean protein sources, such as poultry, fish, beans, and low-fat dairy.
