Beginning March 1, 2018, many building construction workers must have completed at a minimum, 10 hours of OSHA safety training. This applies to all job sites that require a Site Safety Plan, therefore sites with a Construction Superintendent, Site Safety Coordinator or Site Safety Manager. Owners and builders of buildings less than 10 stories, please note that this law is applicable to you, all workers and supervisors on most job sites. The new law is titled Local Law 196 and it is being rolled out in phases between March 2017 through May 2019.
